If I would do a RPG would you like a guided path or Quest hub path.

Guided path is like most RPG games you do not have side quest and just follow a story until the end.

Quest hub path, you would be able to enter cities or villages where you have multiple things to do per village and when these done you go to next. (example world of warcraft questing)

I always liked Quest Hub type games better, as you don't feel like you're in a hurry to try and finish the main storyline as fast as possible. Also there are many games I've played where the side missions can often be as interesting, if not more interesting, than the main quests. Looking forward to when you eventually make an RPG Orachi. I know you like challenging games, but I hope you don't make it too hard.

My vote is Quest Hub. Linear RPGs are just VNs with extra steps. "Warlock and Boobs" I thought did a good job of making an interesting non-linear RPG.
