CHUCK VERSUS THE GOBBLER

Man I love this show! Great reactions to the last two episodes. My thoughts about the Balcony episode: I just absolutely love how much they're leaning into ridiculousness with certain villains or tropes. Like the french villain this episode and his villainy face. Overacting to the point of stupidity and I goddamn love it. And then the guy who drank the wine (dangerously close to becoming a walking cliché). Ahh, hilarious. And the peppery pinot with a stable on the lable and a stork on the cork is a classic! And the fight scene with Chuck maintining every single droplet of the wine is stupid and amazing. Love it! So many great moments here, but Morgan coming in clutch for Chuck again is always nice to see. Lester almost seeming human for a moment only to ruin it by going full Jeffster was also very, very fitting! Sarah acting drunk to the French goons was also a tremendous piece of acting by Yvonne. But maybe my favourite thing.. Casey's line to Chuck near the end: "All you need is the girl." Brilliant. Then it's the ending itself. I haaaated it on my first watch, but i've ended up loving it later on. Sarah's intentions are good and pure, but this isn't what Chuck would have wanted, even if she is indeed doing it for him. They both have this character trait where they will set themselves on fire to warm someone they love, and even if it's endearing, it's not always what their partner wants. I will post a new comment for the Gobbler episode abit later.

And now for the Gobbler episode. Great reaction again! Good episode, but not among my favourites by any means. Sarah's... outfit/hair change is mostly just meant to show us visually (and to Chuck) that she's had to and having to change. And yes, it clearly is a wig :) I love Volkoff, though. Such a fun and refreshing villain. He's mental, unpredictable and ruthless, but he has a softspot for fun and romance. Makes for a great combination. It also helps when he's played by Timothy Dalton who has impeccable comedic timing. Now, I really cannot wait for the next episode. It'll be awesome.
