For those out of the loop, OWAW is On Writing and Worldbuilding, a book that compiles all of the OW videos I've made into a single, easy to reference, textbook of sorts. It includes exclusive content on How I Plan A Novel (as voted by you, the patrons), as well as 50+ sidenotes and thoughts of mine that I haven't been able to include in the actual videos. It's been a labour of love, and I've sunk nearly 1600NZD or 1000USD into the art and editing. I'm really proud of it.

I've spent the last two days formatting the documents, altering margins, putting in two-layer drop caps, utilising headings and subheadings in ways I've not done before. I've uploaded the final product Amazon, but I will not be publishing it for all to access till I have my own proof copies to make sure the whole isn't a terrible mess!

Some common questions:

1. Will patrons get early access?

Yes! Or at least, I will give you the link before I ever announce it to the rest of the community.

2. Will signed copies be available?

Not to the public, as it involves me first getting copies and sending them back (which from NZ is hella expensive). However, there will be limited signed copies available for certain people. More details on that later (I haven't yet decided who will get them).

3. When can we see the cover?

Once I have received my proof copies and found they're 100% okay, I will select a release date and then I will show you the cover. Yes, you will see the cover before anyone else as patrons. It. Is. Amazing!

4. How much will it be?

The listed price will be $12.39USD to start with.

5. Will there be free copies at all?

Yes. I will be running a competition for free copies for both existing patrons and new to join patrons over the next few months. More details later.

6. How long is it, and what does it contain?

It is 73000 words, or roughly 250 pages at size 11. Think the length of The Fault in Our Stars. It will tackle the following:

Part I: Prologues, Part II: The First Chapter, Part III: The Exposition Problem, Part IV: Foreshadowing, Part V: Villain Motivation, Part VI: Hero-Villain Relationships, Part VII: Final Battles, Part VIII: The Chosen One, Part IX: Hard Magic Systems, Part X: Soft Magic Systems, Part XI: Magic Systems and Storytelling, Part XII: Polytheistic Religions, Part XIII: Hidden Magical Worlds, Part XIV: How Empires Rise, Part XV: How Empires Work, Part XVI: How Empires Fall, Part XVII: How I Plan a Novel
