In Star Channel 34, every girl had a dedicated wardrobe page, with new outfits added for each new episode. You could play dress-up there, but it usually didn’t affect the main story during your first playthrough. For your outfit to show up, you had to access the particular event from the Holo-Archive menu, which became available after completing the episode once.

The problem was that your outfit choice would always overwrite the story outfit and often made no sense story-wise. So I added an option to choose either CUSTOM or STORY outfits when replaying the event. This created quite a lot of extra work for me and even produced some outfit bugs that were easy to miss and required additional testing.

Now the question: how many of you actually used that feature?

And I’m not talking about playing dress-up in the wardrobe outside the story—I know that part was fun. I’m asking: how often did you actually replay the episode from the Holo-Archive and use the CUSTOM outfit option?

If it was such a hustle, don't do it again. A special wardrobe room for custom outfits is fine for me (Unless it's WitchTrainer 2.0 😈) 😇

We are talking about Star Channel 34!!! What year is this?

I voted "almost never" but I'm not too sure. But if I had to provide input, I'd say I'd be okay if some cutscenes had forced outfits if they really make sense for that cutscene, and for smaller cutscenes it's like whatever. It would be appreciated, but really not a buzzkill if this feature was missing.

I used it, but it wouldn't break the universe for me if you didn't end up in the game. It was quirky but if it's a headache, save yourself that and just have custom uniforms in 'base' areas.

Flaxx

I used it, because it was there, but it's not really something I'd miss terribly if it was gone.

Deonast

yes might like to see that in WitchTrainer 2.0 Gold Deluxe Definitive Edition with all the DLC

My Dirty little secret (don't tell anyone) I never finished SC34 probably got 2/3 through and I rebuilt my computer and forgot to backup game saves and I haven't had time since to go play it again (though I want to). That said if i was to mess around with the clothing it would pretty much be in the warddrobe or only if it impacted the story in a meaningful way. If it leads to inconistency with the story then no I don't think there is a lot of value there and sounds like a lot of work. How about this idea. Perhaps a dress up scenario where the outfits change the result of what the character does, but seperate to the main game play where the outfits are where the story dictates only.

Deonast

Hmm what's the bet Akabar already did that idea and I didn't get up to it in the game :)

I used it few times, but mostly I prefer story outfits anyway. Sometimes seeing an ultra slutty Ashley acting like she won't do anything was immersion breaking. I love playing dress-up but as a late-game treat, or, if the outfits are fitting the vibe of the girl's training level

I liked the story outfits so much I never felt the need. I liked the outfits in the changing room with the reactions and side scenes. I prefer immersive/context specific outfits that make sense for the story

legojohn

I didn't know this was an option.

akabur

In other words you enjoyed the game just fine without it! Noted! XD

akabur

I feel the same. Man, I wish I had asked you guys for your opinion on this ages ago. -_-

akabur

I should have asked you guys for your opinion long time ago. T_T

akabur

It’s funny, because this is how I felt for the most part, but I thought you guys would be against the idea of abandoning a feature that existed in the earlier episodes. I should have just hosted a poll like this many years ago. -_-

Peter Schlund

Never used it. Save your time Akabur
