A summary of the update and a small dev log (Patreon)

Greetings, everyone!

I hope you've been enjoying the latest update. We've been receiving feedback, and it's been quite a mixed bag. Some players appreciate the pace of the storyline, while others find it a bit slow. On the whole, though, the reception has been positive. Now, let's discuss the reasons behind the decisions we've made.

Firstly, there's been some chatter about the size of our updates:

As I've mentioned previously, we're focusing on smaller, but more frequent updates. We understand that from your perspective, five scenes may seem limited, and you might go through them rather quickly. However, due to our current financial constraints, we can't afford to hire additional people for rendering (although we are in the process of working with an additional animator). I also can't produce more scenes in a month because I'm already dedicating around 8 hours a day to the game, including weekends, alongside my regular job. I want to express my deep gratitude for all your support in this project, which has been overwhelming and unexpected in such a short time. I'm doing my best to provide you with the content you deserve.

The second point to address is the storyline:

There have been comments from some players suggesting that Riley should have engaged in more intimate encounters with various characters by now. However, if we were to follow this path, the game would lack a coherent plot and would turn into a series of explicit encounters. Our intention is to make decisions in the game that are logical and reasonably realistic, even though it's still a work of literary fiction. Some players questioned the significance of certain scenes, like those involving Elijah or Blaze, but they serve a purpose. These scenes lay the foundation for the next steps in the storyline and influence Riley's character development. This is a fundamental aspect of games that focus on corruption and character transformation, which take time to unfold. Just as nobody quits certain habits in a single day (like drugs or masturbation), Riley's transformation from a polite, normal person into someone else is a gradual process.

Finally, I'd like to mention that Episode 2.0 is on the horizon, likely arriving in December, and it will include many more scenes. We're sticking to our plan of releasing two smaller updates in a shorter interval (Episode 1.1 and Episode 1.2) and then a larger episode update (Episode 2.0) after a longer period. We'll follow the same pattern for future episodes – small, rapid updates like Episode 2.1 and Episode 2.2, followed by a larger one Episode 3.0.
