Video play setup looks good. Movies are trackable for watch-along.

I’ve only seen this once and didn’t connect with it the first time but gonna give it another go with your reaction!

Thanks so much for watching this. It speaks to me on some primal level. And while I know the songs by heart I hadn't watched it in ages and just bawled my way through. As a creative person (and romantic) going through a rough time this film really inspires me. So tym.

I love this movie and I've probably seen it 5 or 6 times now. But it's not something I can just watch any time because it always takes a little out of me once you get to that ending. It's like you said, it's more than just what-could-have-been. The movie's almost saying like one dream always has to die in order for another to play out. I like to think in an alternate reality this movie could've ended with them married and with a kid, and the what-if scenario was them both getting their dreams but not being together. And I'd like to think the audience would've felt just as bittersweet to see what they had to give up to get their dream of staying together. In that way, I appreciate the idea that no matter how happy you are, there's always something you lose in the process leading up to that that you can never get back. Great film, but, yeah, that ending kills me every time I watch it.

I loved watching this with you :)

This is one of my all time favourite films because of the cinematography and music, and really enjoyed watching along with you. If you were interested in another musical but from where i come from in the UK, then i'd very much recommend Sing Street, it's a sweet musical set in the 80's about a boy who forms a band to impress a girl, it has great songs, and so much great period detail, and lots of great British humour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYk2Vx1z6lk&t=14s&ab_channel=RottenTomatoesTrailers

Uh...l'm pretty sure 'Sing Street' is Irish not British. It's set in Dublin.
