for the principal I've heard ppl talking about a second meaning where she is talking about Trump. Which I find is an interesting angle! I'm not the biggest fan of melanie but this album hits quite close to home for me bc of orange juice and teacher's pet as I have both been bulimic and groomed in my past, pretty happy and healthy now though thankfully! hi! i hope you had a good trip! i was wondering if people with the groupies subscription will be able to watch the k-12 movie reaction. i am asking because the music videos for k-12 are pulled directly from the film so you would be reacting to the same videos twice.

Heyy I recommend that you watch first the film and then react to after school ep because the ep came out a year later and the story being told has nothing to do with k12

Yes, K-12 movie will be under the music tier as it’s more so with the album than one of the “movies” that fits into the movie tier. She may ALSO (tbd) put it there but it will def at least be in the music tier!

Melanie wrote the script for a 3 hr movie but since she got her funds for the K-12 movie constantly trimmed there are many stories that didn’t get a closure in the movie and you’ll also notice some abrupt switches between scenes/MVs, but overall it adds a lot to the story of the album, I hope you like it :)

Ahahaha idk which is “correct” but I honestly always thought the “Kelly had a fat ass” line was meant in the ‘thicc’/compliment sort of way, where Crybaby was jealous of Kelly’s looks. Especially since she does follow it up with a line about the boys looking, and then outright saying she got jealous of Kelly and Brandon kissing on the playground 😅 I might be wrong tho

Outside of the concept, Show and Tell is partly inspired by some of the fan interactions she had during the Cry Baby tour when her popularity increased. There was a video at the time where some fans overwhelmed Melanie in public and started filming/taking photos of her without her consent. If I recall too, there was also an incident in which a fan or someone broke into Melanie's dressing room and stole some sentimental objects. she posted a picture of herself on social media in tears following the incident.

It should be noted prior to K-12's release, Melanie did step away from the spotlight. In 2017, a former acquaintance came forward with SA/coercion allegations against her which Melanie strongly denies. There's a lot of confusion around what has been said by both parties so it's hard to get into however during this exile period, Melanie released the song Piggyback on her Soundcloud which apparently is in regards to the allegations but has not been confirmed directly. Within the last few days, the allegations have resurfaced online following a few controversies with the mixed reception of Melanie's recent era Portals alongside some questionable business ethics involving merch and lack of fan engagement in recent times.
