Lynch's filmography is one of my favorites because of how he builds the atmosphere both visually and audially to convey a feeling. My personal favorite is "Lost Highway", but you might want to look at "The Elephant Man" or "Blue Velvet" for your next Lynch film. Once you're acclimated to his style, I also highly recommend checking out "Mulholland Drive" and "Inland Empire". "Before Sunrise" is the first film in what is called the 'Before Trilogy'. It's one of my favorite trilogies for many reasons, one of which being that the sequels make the previous films even better. I think you will appreciate the dialogue you thought seemed forced more if you decide to check them out.

A good run of films for January. The first film I watched in 2025 was 'It's What's Inside' I'd say the best movie I watched in January was 'Girl, Interrupted' starring Winona Ryder. I'm trying to watch more David Lynch movies, I really like the Twin Peaks tv show (which does have a prequel movie) I have added 'Blink Twice' to my list of films to look out for
