! I can see maybe having the ability to transform into a water dragon might allow us to be able to talk to the dragons that are attacking the hive so this actually might be worth risking it for that form. Fight him but be careful with how you do so

Ok time for action, approach the Dragon and just focus on evading his attacks and keeping your distance so you can gain the data. Save your first aid kits since you can always escape his battle range and heal then re enter

Well, you could try summoning the black vines to try to capture it, although that might hurt your friendship with the black vine after it gets a bunch of its tendrils ripped up by the dragon.

Use clever mind. If he charge you could dogge in this kind way he could hit rocks and those rock could crush him giving you time to obseve and to escape or show you dont want attack him. So... Make him charge on rocks

This may work pretty well actually, and if even if it has some kind of projectile we should be fine so long as said projectile isn't a conal AoE. I say we go with this plan.
