Yep... Boss Chest. Well I guess the only way to open that thing is to fight the dragon... Now the only issues I see is A) Getting him to say his name. Probably have to get to 80% scan so we can transform into a water dragon proper, and B) Figuring out how to get him riled up enough to start using the remainder of his arsenals. Edit: Last time we left him we were at 60% with 3 items left to scan. So... I'm guessing either his name or the possible breath attack (considering dragon, a breath attack is nearly guaranteed) are worth 20%.

okay i think we need to get back up to the surface and set up as meany sonic bombs as we can around the dragon and wake him up then hit him with ever thing we got

Go back and snuggle the dragon or try to put the fire bomb into his mouth and let him eat it bevor it explode, because dragons aren't immune to fire inside or you can simply climb into his mouth so you can search for the key like Pinocchio

I'm not really sure how to continue but I can tell you that climbing into the dragons mouth probably isn't the best idea as in we would probably die in the process perhaps if we learn enough about the dragon we can learn its language and speak to it peacefully and have it reveal it's other moves voluntarily allowing us to get a 100% scan. Regarding the chest it would appear to not be completely made of the same material by its design though it still looks pretty sturdy perhaps if we're strong enough to carry it we could lift it high enough to drop it and smash it open or perhaps we could transform into the water dragon and open it by smashing it with our jaws(requires 80 or more on dragon scan). Also question about transforming we seem to only transform into live creatures but other changelings(including our bodyguard) can turn into rocks/plants or other common things so can we do the same? Or no because we're a hybrid? also yaaay paragraphs.

I don't want to kill the dragon, but we will end up needing the form at its full strength. If we can't convince it to join us, let's get back to the surface and set up our sonic bombs to stop him from getting back in the water. After that, re-initiate the fight when it wakes back up. It waited for us with the love gem, we can give it the same courtesy.

We attack him on land, but we wait for him to wake first. The logic is sound. 1st: Honer and respect go hand in hand. 2nd: LOG 306: "...You wonder what will make this boss monster show these new skilsl and attack patterns..." Considering the battle so far has been underwater, land bound fighting is different by it's very nature. In short, Land, Natural Form, Wait (let him wake up and notice you), Bow, and if he does not speak, Attack.

It might be worth noticing, for some of us, that the lack of notable scaring is informational in and of itself. Despite his strength, he's never been in a (relatively) significant battle. In LOG 293, we observe a 'strange' lack of information in the initial scan. Given how quickly we've scanned everything else so far, this in and of itself should peak our interest as it suggest magical blocking of some kind. His 'soft' underbelly might even be an indication of his youth. Personally (and I'm kicking myself for not putting pieces together till now), my standing theory is that we're fighting an adolescent whom hasn't been out on his own very long. Being closer in relative ages, relative being the operative word, makes his behavior easier to understand and predict, and speaking easier once he does begin to speak with us. LOG 296 suggest he doesn't understand our language, but we learn fast.
