Dive down and check what is at the bottom of the lagoon in case it is something useful

Cast the light sphere spell and send it down to the bottom so you can see what is down there

Well at this point the main entrance is our only choice if we cant get love to transform. Make a note of the shine at the bottom of the lagoon and then try to scout the entrance first to see if entry is even possible

I guess we've got to try the main entrance. Just be careful not to lead any hostile fire dragons there. And of course, remember the shiny thing so you can retrieve it when you've got some love.

Head to the main entrance and use Regis as a distraction if there is a fire dragon around

Ask Regis if he can see that far down into the water, regardless of the answer, head towards the main entrance and scout around, we can't afford giving the dragons a clue as to where the hive entrance is.

Dragons like shiny objects. Ask Regis if he has any ideas what is sparkling down there.

Dragons should have pretty good eyesight, see if Regis can make out what is down in the water there. You are still going to have to chance the main entrance, but it's time to get your stealth on. Be extra careful heading towards the entrance, and both you and Regis need to plan to shift directions if either of you spot watching dragons.
