Well, it's official, we need to hug him until we have enough love! But, do explain to him that you are getting love from him by hugging him, then he won't feel awkward........wait, why are we even getting love from him?................! He likes us!

Tell Regis that you have two forms that are able to dive safely into the Waterway - a Siren and a Water Dragon.

Try using Diamond Dog transformation to break through the rock once you have enough love. After all, they are good tunnelers if memory serves.

Well... we can ask him to look for it, if we can't go find the tool. Us leaving the area to go to the volcano would mean we have to abandon the mission. Not something we want, but he's a party guest. We were able to control other characters before, like Flurry Heart, so why not? The works Vava could tell us is no, and explain why that won't work. Also... does that cave seem a bit bright for a cave?

as an aside, I still think you should consider options for identifying other changelings. That one dragon guard might be one....

Take a look around your current area. Perhaps your bodyguard is somewhere around or, if we are lucky, find something we can feed love off of.
