First, compliment the Guard on the pancakes, they really were tasty. As for your story... well, you didn't wake up in a cell, so this Royal Guard seems to be at least willing to tolerate changelings. Be honest, at least to the extent of telling them that you have lived with changelings, but know that your father was a pony. Maybe try to get a little sympathy for the Hive by explaining that you were never mistreated, you just wanted to search out your father to get to know more about him. Ask about your saddlebags, after all, you will need your father's picture when you get to the Crystal Empire if you are going to try and find him.
