Observe the room and inspect it , notably the hole in the wall, the fissure in the wall and the cross on the ground. And confirm that there is only two ways out of the room (the one leading to the "monster" and the one from witch you came).

Scout everything except the room the monster is in. Given that your flames make you highly visible, attempting to scout the monster is too risky.

1) Check out the chest you are perched upon to see if anything can help Maud or you later on. 2) Check the X on the floor maybe its a marker for something buried or an indicator of something else. 3) Fly up to the hole in the wall and see if you can spy on the monster in the next room, if not then return to Maud. 4) Once Maud gets her energy back, see if she can break the crack in the wall on the right since she seems to be exceptionally strong and has an extensive knowledge of geology. 5) Check out the room to the left with Maud to see if it can lead to another room or exit rather than the monster.

I'd start by checking the hole up in between the two pathways, there's a flower below it and plants can't grow up without sunlight so it must lead outside (it must be night time aswell). Don't forget that you can't "die" in this form, so if you end up against the monster just use your flame ability to distract him and flee, don't be afraid.

there is a crack in the wall, maybe maude can break it if she doesnt think the cave will colapse being a rock expert, while you check the hole in the wall on the other side

You should attempt to open the chest. But if your small form can't open it on your own, then wait for Maud to recover. There also seems to be a conveniently placed X on the floor. Again, if your small form can't dig, wait for Maud. There also seems to be an opening in the rock higher up on the cave wall. Perhaps you could explore that. Try not to go too far though. You don't want to come back and the opening be closed off like the previous passage way.

There is upper passage in this cave maybe you should look where it goes but not too far. Show also Maud X plase on flor and crack on wall. Maybe you shouldnt try open chest.

Rest with Maud, when you are full, if she is still resting, carefully scout the small tunnel to the upper left. When she is recovered draw her attention to the chest, the X, and the small tunnel if your scouting has shown it to be useful. It looks like Maud could fit but might need to use the chest and bench for Maud to reach it.

Take a look inside of the chest, perhaps there is something inside of there that could help with this predicament. Otherwise stand watch, it is better to have one set of eyes open at all times

Do a full scouting of the room while you wait. That upper-left hole in the wall looks a bit like the one the green goo dissappeared into... and what's that cracked outline over on the right? It looks like it might be a hole that someone sealed up!

Check the chest, then investigate the room thoroughly. There are plenty of things to look at in here while she sleeps.
