Yays: Wesnesday-terrific portrail and extension of her personality from the TV show and movies. Also, she had some great one-liners. The Howdy Pilgrim John Wayne ref really spoke to the scene if you know the background of the term. Enid-just a great character and portrail. Eugene-just a great sympathetic character. Special Effects- Thing, the Hyde and Enidwolf we're amazing. Mehs: Gomez-pretty true to the comics/cartoons, but I much prefer the TV and movie characterizations, which were much more impassioned. Script-character development was good, but plot a bit stale. Alot in common with Sleepy Hollow (coincidentally a Tim Burton production and also with Christina Ricci). Hoping the storys get better, not worse. Boos: Morticia-With Carolyn Jones and Angelica Houston, even though Morticia is haught and stoic, you at least got the eye squint or faint devilish smirk that let you know that she reciprocates Gomez's "fervor." Zeta-Jones was simply a wet biscuit. I would be surprised if she returned, or Morticia at all. Not enough Pugsley (perhaps he will start at Nevermore soon?), Need more Lurch, and where is Cousin It for Pete's sake!

So, you asked, so I answer. Seems you really enjoy sleuthing, so, I suggest: 1. The Usual Suspects (1995) 2. Scream (1996) (the original), 3. Sleepy Hollow (1999) Tim Burton w Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, and very good supporting cast, and an uncredited Christopher Walken 4. Knives Out (2019), 5. An oldie, but very good, North by Northwest (1959) (Hitchcock with Cary Grant), 6. An obscure one, but No Way Out (1987) with Kevin Costner and Gene Hackman. Great script, lots of twists.

I agree that the "Goody Addams healing" came out of nowhere with no justification or explanation. Sometimes, especially in a limited series, the writers write themselves into a corner. This definitely took me out of the story for a bit. Overall, I loved the series and am looking forward to season 2. Thanks for your genuine reactions. Keep on being you
