Mehran Karimi Nasseri 1945 – 12 November 2022 This movie is based on real life events that happened to Sir, Alfred Mehran who was an Iranian refugee who lived in the departure lounge of Terminal 1 in Charles de Gaulle Airport from 26 August 1988 until July 2006, when he was hospitalized.

Thank you Bissy 💜 I hadn't seen this and I really enjoyed it. I've noticed I appreciate movies like this even more through your eyes and reaction. I know you don't like to cry but the things that get you emotional are a window into your soul that warms my heart and in a world where we constantly question who people are it resonates as deeply authentic. If you receive a giant box of tissues don't take it as a troll it comes from a sincere place. Now what does Fish say about the croissant? hahaha

Whoever picked this one made an excellent choice. The croissant/Romania story was not true. The croissant entered Europe after the Battle of Vienna 1683. The Ottomans fled their siege and left a lot of goods behind including coffee. So someone opened a coffee shop in Vienna and a baker created the croissant after the crescent shape on the Ottoman flag.

I have not seen this movie before, it was very good. I did however get a little upset about the treatment of tom hanks character. Didn't understand why someone wasn't able to help him. Wasn't there some agency that could help is guy? Overall I'd give the movie 4 stars.

It's a very nice movie. Try next time Captain Philips. Based on a true story. Also with Tom Hanks. Not his best movie but he do some good acting.
