This... this is par for the course in a D&D campaign. "The safe word is 'Mahalo'." That phrase has stuck with me since I heard it on a sitcom from the 90s, so that's all that comes to mind.

They didn't murder Desmond(though Percy did shoot off his fingers) that was a separate encounter, and they brutally murdered an Old lady who was under the effects of a sleep spell at the time. She was part of a band of roughians, but she was unconscious on the ground when they made her into mince meat.

Sylas is a vampire, if you go back to the scenes where the Briarwoods are walking back to the room there is a shot where Delilah has a reflection but Sylas doesn't.
