I related so much to Darcy in the moment about the ladies comment. I always sort of knew I was nonbinary, but didn't have the correct word to describe it. I used to say I was a tomboy as my way of describing that I wasn't quite a girl, but I wasn't a boy either. I hated being called a lady and it held so much more baggage to me because I was meant to act in a certain way "to be a lady". I remember I actually told my teacher to call me a lad instead because I preferred that over being called a lady. My teacher respected that and for the rest of the year, did call me a lad. I really appreciate that teacher because he never made a big deal about it. He just changed his language for me. I was a teenager when I learned what being nonbinary was and knew that was the word I had always been looking for when I finally had it. It took me longer to come to terms with being a lesbian and ace. It still can be a struggle even though I know these things are true about me.

About 21:50 into this reaction... I love how Tori just shows up out of thin air. That's probably the thing she and I have in common😂. Idk why, it's just, sometimes, I can just walk up to people and they literally flinch when they notice me🤣😈 Perhaps it's a super power? Edit: I love how Darcy just says that she doesn't feel like a lady. At a really small level🤏🏼, I can relate to that. I'm more of a tomboy than a lady. Edit2: I'm a Bisexual, but what Isaac says when they're with the jellyfish, I understand that, at a deep level. Figuring ones self... it's like what Charlie said, "It's a process."

This was the episode that made me sob when I first watched this season and it has evoked the same emotions every time since. Something about him reading that letter is so healing to me and I really really like that he actually read it and it wasn’t just ADR’d over the top of a montage or something. It makes it more personal and powerful and God I’m a mess every time. I also have a friend with an ED who is obsessed with the show as I am and she told me that at least in her experience, the way Charlie is portraying it is very accurate and relatable to what she goes through. Also, I have learned that college and uni are two different things in the UK. Elle is technically still in school, she’s in Nick’s Year but I guess she could have either have gone to sixth form like Tara and them did or to “college” which I think is like a specialized school. The Years are definitely confusing over there haha but no one is in what we would call college over here in the states beside David who is 20/21 at this point

Issac’s story in this episode made me cry as it hit a little too close to home and I honestly never get emotional at shows, this show does such a good job at real issues and doesn’t just brush them under the rug or down play them, it’s so important.

Morgan is really good at picking up vibes from the other characters. Let’s see whether they’re all true. 🤣 Also, I just have to commend you Morgan for looking up body anorexia and seeing all the signs Charlie has shown in this episode. Mental illness, of any kind, is difficult to both acknowledge yourself and to tell other people, especially family and friends. I didn’t even know about how anorexia is more deadly than it actually sounds. Heartstopper is so good when it comes to this because when you tell people, you’re worried that they’ll think less of you and just pity you and think that you’re broken. But talking to someone , even it’s just one person, that’s the first step to a long journey of healing. 😢💜🌈 So yeah, great work in talking about this the best you could Morgan. 👏
