The paralell with the twins is so geniusly done, one's romance is steamy while the other's is in shambels. Seriously just let both of them be happy for ONCE.

Scanlan is not in a good place right now and he has a tendency when he's not in a good place to throw himself into hookups or drinking or whatever. I do not think Pike was saying "I don't like you romantically" and more "you're half drunk on wine and clearly deep in emotions with Kaylie, now is not a good time "

Yes, this how I took it too, and we clearly see and know that she is in love with Scanlan, just not this version of him, but the kind and funny version. (The one that she saw a glimpse when they were travelling with/taking care of Grog)

Even not just not this version. But she doesn't want to be the girl he runs to to hide his feelings and jts fair to think that's what's he's doing and not a genuine search. And then scanlan leaves before pike can fully explain that.

As in Kam's words to him ,,Let love find you". Scanlan is usually the one who speaks his mind no matter the outcome, he has to learn to do it in a ,,positive" way in a situation like this.
