I've heard you guys suggesting I watch the 9th Doctor before starting David Tennant's doctor, so now I'm left with this question. Do you guys want a reaction to the 9th Doctor or should I just watch it in my own time before starting the reaction to the 10th Doctor. Thanks for the input!

I’d love to see you watch it honestly. Eccleston is really funny and I think you’d enjoy it!

Sekiro

I want you to do whatever your heart says you should do

Draconite

Whether you record it or not is all up to you, but whatever you do, don't skip it entirely. Personally I would love to see the reaction though

Kat

I really think you will like the 9th Doctor. And I would love to see your reaction. But I also know that is a lot to try and do. So do whatever feels right to you. We will love your reactions either way. 😁

I'd love to see you react to the first episode if nothing else? Like if nothing else I'm sure you can get easy content out of how fucking crazy and off the wall the show is. If you're not really enjoying having to react to it then for sure don't keep making reactions for the 9th. Like I can't really vote on this cause I don't know how much you'll enjoy it and I'm not here to watch someone being grumpy and miserable or worse... fake excited.

The votes says one thing, but it's up to you whether or not you want to watch the 9th doctor. I'm happy either way😊

I hope you will bacome a crazy Whovian nerd, like so many ^^

i don't expect you to become a Whovian or keep watching DW after David Tennant's episodes but i do hope you enjoy the 9th and 10th doctors regardless!!! have fun with the mad man in the box!!! lol

I think the important thing is that you watch the 9th Doctor before seeing 10th. It's only 1 season and it's a great introduction to Rose - the Doctor's companion. I only voted for reacting to it for the sole purpose of us being able to clear things up for you after each episode if you have questions.

To questions that happened in the Classic seasons/ didn't get answered in later seasons. (Most of them do get anwered later)

I think it would be best to watch the 9th first, not only because it’s a proper introduction to Doctor Who, but also because I’m pretty sure there are things that come back later, and I’m sure it’d be easier for you to already have the context rather than relying on the comments to explain stuff. Though I haven’t watched Doctor Who in years, so I may be wrong and starting with the 10th wouldn’t be that bad.

There's a lot to love about Eccleston's short run as The Doctor. It would be interesting to see you reacting from the beginning. I'd heard for years how great this show was without much explanation. Eccleston was my introduction. Knowing next to nothing, those first few episodes were chaos. But it introduces you to characters and stories that will be crucial to Tennant's run. Eccleston was my first Doctor, but I'd say Capaldi was my Doctor.

LikeCat

The speeches from Capaldi carry a lifetime (or in this case lifetimes) of wisdom. My first Doctor was Eccleston but my Doctor was Matt Smith, he can flip the switch from whisy to dead serious in the snap of a finger and he makes me believe in the impossible.

If you're watching it before Tennant anyway, I personally think it's best to begin at the beginning, if only because if you did watch it unrecorded, I feel like it perhaps maybe creates a bit of a disconnect? asymmetrical experience? and perhaps there might possibly be realizations that might be fun to have on camera perhaps

Alex

there is a lot of eps in the 9th doctor's run that I'd love to see how you react to, and try and see if we had the same realizations!

Alex

it's also only one season, so it won't be as long

The 8th doctor ended in 1989 and the 9th doctor started the show's revival in 2005. It may be nice to get a feel for what the show was going for in the beginning of the reboot with the 9th doctor.
