THREE EPISODES??? LET'S GOOO! Was gonna continue watching a reaction to Harry Potter, but nope, gonna watch this instead.

SauceyRed

I still find the skin person disgusting, I (lovingly) hate that it's the thumbnail 😭

Joshua Gwinnell

My god once that intro hit i was blown to pieces by the biggest nostalgia bomb ever 😎🤩

NatMcK7

Btw the show still aired in 2005. David Tennant debuts at the end of the year. So glad you're watching this!

Verdigree

You know more than I did when I first saw Doctor Who, you're literally in the same boat as millions of people, don't worry

Grace Wheeler

I can't wait for Morgan to learn some good old Bri'ish slang from this show, especially the earlier seasons

Luke

YES DOCTOR WHO LETS GOOOO

Jamie

I have an advice for you for the future episodes. Ones in a while there will be profecis, remember those, as far as i can remember you will get to see them in future episodes after that, moste of the time in the same season. Have fun with this series ,')

Luke

the reference to the jfk assassination in rose is also funny bc the first episode of the original classic series aired on the 23rd of november 1963, the day after the assassination! so its fun of them to reference it in the first episode of the modern series lol

LikeCat

So Doctor Who in a nutshell: Its a Sci-fi show with a bit of horror/ triller-esq elements sprinkled in. And its a family show. (E.i. Kids can and are watching it)

Luke

(commenting as i watch sorry) your comment about sci-fi shows predicting the future is fun bc there are a couple doctor who episodes that do that - a couple of eps in the modern series are set in what at the time was the near future (wont go into detail on those in case of spoilers though) and also a couple in the classic series - my favourite being the 1960s episode "the enemy of the world", which is set in the oh so futuristic year of 2018, where people have high speed jets that can travel from australia to europe in minutes. i wish lol.

Sev the Hollow

Oh these episodes were an absolute blast from the past. It was like sitting on yhe couch watching a show I liked in my younger teenage years with a friend and feeling the same way you have watching these 3 episodes. And don't worry, the episodes get more and more emotional down the line

Joey Quixote

Oh, so you know NOTHING about the show! Fantastic! This is gonna be SO much fun! Loved the reactions to these 3 episodes. While I'd originally welcomed you to start wherever, I'm glad you started with Eccleston. 9 is a lot of fun. Yes, there are horror elements to the show. This is gonna give you a whole lot of new things to be afraid of, lol! You're asking all the right questions. You're onto the big mysteries of the series. You're immediate hatred of Cassandra did not disappoint. I look forward to next Saturday when we do this all again!

NatMcK7

Gonna make one long comment, notes for each episode so I don't spam this section Ep 1: -I love how you clocked in so fast on that arm -THey don't touch on the Jimmy Stone thing in the show but it does mention in a Doctor Who novel that he was an ex boyfriend of Rose's I got nothing for Ep 2 except MOISTURIZE ME lol Also I am here for all the Good Omens mentions no complaints from me believe me Loved the reaction! Looking forward to the next one!

When little/ normaly uninteresting things can make a person run for their lives, and seemigly random quotes can make us shiver in our boots, now THAT is an accoplishment.

Verdigree

Oh dang, that's a Danny Phantom tattoo! cool!

Verdigree

"Arcade" has a bunch of meanings having to do with the word arc and things that were historically in places with arcs, in this case, picture a street that has an arch shaped roof overhead, because those kinds of places historically were like marketplaces, buildings with lots of shops that we would call a mall are sometimes called Arcades

Chloe Small

I don't know how long you're planning to watch it, but God this show gets sad. But also strangely hopeful. And yes, death is a consistent part of the show... just like in real life. It's a very rare occurrence that Everybody Lives. (You're gonna rememember this comment at the right moment, I hope ^^)

Serinthia Kelberry

Just wanted to drop this here. In case you're curious how the TARDIS is bigger on the inside, this clip from the classic series (it is one long continuity between old and new) is probably the best answer we're going to get. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ01T3_E6YQ

So glad you're enjoying the Ninth Doctor!!!! Also glad you're getting all the context of Rose meeting the Doctor and their relationship cause it really is amazing to watch!! And yes, you will cry during this show, I'm only half sorry for recommending this show so much! LOL! Can't wait for the next episode!!! It's the only thing getting me thru the pain of Arcane.

LikeCat

You are picking up on soo many things, for a new reactor to Doctor Who. Watching Arcane and Good Omens are really helping you in finding the ,,Clues!" be it little expressions from the Doctor to things to come later. And it is a blast to see. (as someone who knows a few inner working of the show decently well)

jeremiah

hey just wanted to say I'm so glad that you are starting doctor who, it's one of my most favorite series. also incase you are un aware certain episodes are/ I believe considered two parts as the plot directly follows one to another and example I can give are season 1 ep 4 "aliens of london" and season 1 ep 5 "world war three". both episodes aren't named episode blank part 1 and episode blank part 2 but they can be considered two parts, in any case just wanted to let you know incase you didn't some episode might be two parters not a lot just some. anyway keep up the good work, love your content and so excited for you on this journey

Matthew

Doctor Who is one of my favorite shows! You're in for a wild ride!

Verdigree

BTW, I just found out Harry Lloyd, Arcane Viktor is the great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens, such happenstance!

Gaudi Daamen

Was looking forward to this. I love that you're going in completely blank. It reminds me of how I felt watching this for the first time back in 2005.

Luke

ooh i forgot about this clip, it's actually a pretty good explanation for something insane and impossible. also i love leela, she's such an interesting and fun companion :)

Deynix

So cool getting to watch someone come into Doctor Who for the first time! Thank you for sharing your journey and letting some of us old-timers see the show through fresh eyes. Regarding the uncomfy sound effects, early “new Who” is mixed with the music and effects way out front of the dialogue, so sometimes when you’ve got the volume high enough to understand the actors the M&E blow your ears out. It does get better, but you may want to play with EQ and knock down some of the extreme high frequencies.

Sav Miller

By the way, the place the doctor mentions in the third episode, Cardiff, is the capital of Wales (which is also the country Michael Sheen is from). Doctor Who is filmed in Cardiff, so they do mention it in the show a few times (when they aren’t dressing it up and pretending like it’s London or some other British place or alien planet).

LikeCat

And just looked it up and found out that he was in Doctor Who. (I did not know how he looked - especially back then - and his voice is very different from his ,,Victor voice".

LikeCat

And that character and Viktor have some eearie similarities. (And he is one of - if not my favorite - two part stories)

ShadowDust

Hearing you quote Friday night dinner threw me off so much lol (you look nice Jackie). I haven’t finished yet so I’m not sure if they mention it in those three episodes, but rose’s mum is actually called Jackie lol so that’s a funny coincidence

Tintros

Awesome video. Loved watching you figure things out and enjoy the ride, be surprised by twists and turns, and go on the emotional rollercoaster that is Doctor Who. :) You'll be glad you started with Eccleston when you get to Tennant and beyond.

LikeCat

When you said ,,So is the Doctor like all knowing because he knew her full name and I don't think she said it?" - The answer is this: When the Doctor was looking around in her house he picked up I think a letter that said ,,To Rose Tyler", so that is how he knew her full name. Also the Doctor isn't all-knowing he is just smart, really smart. (For human standard at least)

lin

"Is doctor who about to get me to cry"... I am locked in and cannot wait to watch your journey with this show!

Kaye O'Malley

Oh, I really enjoyed these reactions. It's been ages since I got to see someone get to know the doctor, and I was just as clueless as you when my friends introduced me in 2006 or 7. I hope you continue to enjoy it. :)

Pixiedanni15

I've been watching your reactions and got caught up on a lot of the other ones and realized I could start your doctor who reactions. Absolutely love that you went into this with no knowledge of it. So excited to see what you think as you continue on.

Alfredo Delgadillo

I have to share this funny experience. We just joined Patreon to watch your reactions to Doctor Who (a fav of ours) and I turned on the CC. Through out the video, the CC arbitrarily switched from English to Welsh multiple times. We have no idea why but found it quite entertaining especially since it’s largely filmed in Wales.
