In this video I'm reacting to the Cyclops Saga... NOTHING could have prepared me for what went down in this one!

The songs I listened to in these animatics are Polyphemus, Survive, Remember Them, and My Goodbye!

Odysseus, so clever naming himself Nobody so that he cant get tracked, only to drop the ball at the end by giving the cyclops his name and address. The Greek Gods have never taken kindly to mortal hubris, and Odysseus, as much as I love him, his flaw has always been his pride.

It's interesting experiencing this musical with someone unfamiliar with the Odyssey and the Iliad. The scene with the cyclops I especially remember learning about in school. It's like reliving my high school English class as well. XD

While I understand the disappointment with Odysseus and him doxing himself, it is also a bit understandable why he did it. He didn't know that Polyphemus would be a much bigger threat than he was. Odysseus was also grieving the loss of his closest friend and some members of his crew. Now, I am not, in any way, shape or form, excusing his choices or words, but it is understandable why it happened. ALSO, take into account that Athena, his mentor, kinda pushed him to snap as well by saying to finish the job, not understanding that Odysseus had just lost his best friend and didn't have the right headspace.
