Hey gang! I hope everyone here in the states had a great thanksgiving! And for those outside the U.S. I hope you had a great week! =)
Later today I'll be uploading the high res line art for the RWBY, Rose & Yang, piece for $1 and up patrons. I'll also be publicly uploading a couple more of this month's Patreon tier sketches. My goal is to finish the color work for RWBY by the end of next week.
In other news, I'm going to start up the poll for next month's illustration on Monday and end it on Saturday, the 1st. And speaking of which, if you have any suggestions for any winter themed League content you'd like got the poll then please leave a comment below or PM me here or on discord! I look forward to hearing your requests!
Now then, some things on the Patreon I'll be changing. First and foremost I drastically overestimated the amount of work I had, and how much work it takes me to accomplish pieces at the quality I want them to be. That is solely my fault, and me underestimating the amount of work I take on. As such, I'll be removing the whole $3 Projects aspect of the Patreon as I don't have the time to do both that and the monthly illustrations. I'm always trying to improve the Patreon and I'm realizing I can't split my attention effectively that way.
However, one thing I'm interested in trying out starting January, if you all would be interested, and I'll of course be making a poll for this some time in December, is turning the Patreon from monthly illustrations into monthly comic book pages. These would be funded every $85, and be full color. So, as the Patreon is now there would be two pages a month. $1 patrons would get access to the high resolution line art pages, while $3 and up patrons would get access to wip posts and full color pages. Patrons would get to see pages as they are completed, and once a comic is 100% complete it will be put up for sale on Gumroad for $5 for full color and $3 for line art. This isn't set in stone or anything, but is a thought I had for moving forward.
Let me know what your thoughts are on all this, don't forget those requests, and I hope you all have a great weekend! Cheers! -1DR
