BACK TO THE FUTURE PART III (1990) FULL LENGTH MOVIE REACTION - WATCH ALONG

Comments

James Forrest

Haha hey guys :) So glad I watched this today, I needed it :) Great to see you guys react to this and get so much from it. As others will have undoubtedly said, there are a lot of nods to Eastwood's Dollar's trilogy in that film, and the scene with the bulletproof vest is the same scene Biff is watching in the second film before Marty confronts him about the sports almanac. It is from the magnificent A Fist Full OF Dollars, a movie you guys really should review. As fans of great music, the Morricone soundtrack is magnificent and would only be bettered twice - in Once Upon A Time In The West (an absolute MUST SEE from you guys) and Once Upon A Time In America, all three films directed by Sergio Leone whose work you surely cannot miss. I love everything he ever made. (And if you're watching those, of course, you need to do Unforgiven which is Eastwood's farewell to the genre and which is dedicated to Leone and Don Siegal who directed him in Dirty Harry and Escape From Alcatraz ... and who makes a guest appearance in Eastwood's own directorial debut, the under-rated masterpiece Play Misty For Me. Another film you HAVE to see!) Marty McFly is one of the great characters in the history of the movies. His character shift subtly but completely over the course of the three films. He starts as a little immature, a little easily provoked, but wracked by self doubts and gradually becomes a self-confident, self-aware man. What a fine actor Michael J Fox was ... and there's a fine movie with him and James Woods in it, a film called The Hard Way, where Michael J plays an action hero actor who, in order to get taken seriously and land a "real" character role lobby's a police precinct captain to pair him with a hardbitten detective, played by Woods ... it's really funny and very cool. The BTTF trilogy is one of those rare examples of a project that just hit the mark in every way. Every story blends beautifully into the next one, and the overall effect is excellent. I've always loved them, all three of them, and I was delighted to see you guys did as well. It's good to be back folks, after some time away following my team to the end of their campaign - a successful one! League and cup double, snatching victory from what a lot of the media expected would be a shattering defeat :) The best way to win! I celerabated it long, hard and well and it was great to return here and find first Alien 3 was up and then this! Tremendous reactions to both! Thanks again guys!

Hello!!! We are so glad you enjoyed our reaction! There are certainly a bunch of Eastwood movies we have to get to, and will definitely cover in the future! Also, absolutely agree with your comment on Marty's character development. As you said it was subtle, and gradual, which makes him feel more real as a character. We don't change abruptly, but as we go and experience more things in life. He is such a wonderfully written character, and is easily one of our favorites in film! We are so glad to have you back, and to read your wonderful and insightful comments is always a joy! Thank you so much for your kindness and support, again, it truly means the world to us!

I have heard you talk about the Back to the Future ride, which we got to to ride and still miss to this day, but I digress. I didn't know if you knew they had an "Escape Room" at Universal Orlando that's Back to the Future. You go through sceens of all the movies to solve puzzles. It's real fun and the detail is outstanding. Next time your down that way you might want to check it out. And as a side note they have Epic Universe opening next year that is looking amazing and one of the lands is Universals Classic Monsters..
