I see you look scary movie you would like not another teen movie

The MRI scene is based on a true story of a person who got crushed while in the machine. The best death was Erik's. And here I thought no death could beat the two girls in the tanning machine.

Two underrated things about this movie are the CGI and the set design. Especially in the opening sequence. Very good, especially for a mid budget film like this.

I really appreciate the way they changed up the formula. I was confused at first with Iris and it being the 60s. Then I was like, this could be interesting, seeing this in a vastly different time period. But it flips to Stefani in present day and I was confused as well as a bit let down. However, as it progressed, I liked that the premonition was so far in the past and it wasn't the main character having it, not in the traditional way. Given Iris said her premonition mightve passed to Stefani bevause of Iris being diagnosed with cancer the same time period Stef's nightmare started kind of lends credence to the psychic theory. All of the previous visions were from people whose abilities were suddenly awakened, allowing them to glimpse Death's design. Usually, I can excuse the wacky stuff leading to the deaths, but having lived by tracks almost my entire life, I had to laugh at the penny derailment. You guys watched Unstoppable a few months ago. You saw what a train did to derailers 🤣. But I had to suspend my disbelief more than any other set up in the series. Before this, the roller coaster incident from 3 was the biggest. I did like Tony Todd's character was debunked as being a form of Death. It was clever how they worked in how he knew and made it fit with all of his appearances in the franchise to date. I'm also glad the filmmakers decided not to have a post credits scene showing JB finally getting caught by Death. Given the real life situation with TT, that would have been in bad taste. IMHO. Lastly, I think 4 is the only complete waste of time in the franchise. 5 went back to it feeling like an actual movie. If you didn't know it was a FD film, you wouldn't have guessed it. The characters were probably the most rounded since the first movie, even tho 3 is my personal favorite of the series. And the twist was great fun. Oh, one last thing, was I crazy for thinking the actress playing young Iris sounded exactly like Anna Faris??! She had almost the exact tempo and tone to AF's voice. I thought it was her for a few moments at the beginning, in the car. Just putting that out there, to see if it's just me being crazy or what.

A really cool thing is everyone that had visions in the pervious movies were the relatives from the people that didn't die in the skyview
