When I saw you guys were doing this one I was glad. I am not huge on horror in general, it's very much hit or miss for me, but this is one I do enjoy. I love the book (in fact I like most of Stephen King's work) and while I agree about some of the criticism you guys had towards what was cut and so forth, I do think this film works well. An adaptation is always an adaptation and this one gets the most important parts of the book. How important the friendship is, how interesting Pennywise is and how much it actually is about growing up and facing the fears we all have as children (albeit with a twisted twist, so to speak). Also seeing it again, I am incredibly impressed by the young actors in this film. They are way better than I remembered and they carry some parts of the film because of how they manage to establish themselves and their relationships with each other. Sure, Bill Skarsgård is awesome as Pennywise, but honestly, how the kids play off each other really is amazing and I love it. Really looking forward to chapter 2. I haven't actually seen that one before, so it will be a lot of fun exploring it with you guys!
