Well done in getting through it before S5, just finished S4. I was seriously gutted when Eddie didn’t make it, as I’m a geek metal head as well and really connected with him. But the scene with him playing Master of Puppets on the roof was just bad ass. As you’ve said a few times the writing for all the characters is just incredible as they really make you care about the good ones and really hate the bad guys. They also give everyone their moments to shine. I really get where you’re coming from regarding Ripley vibes for Nancy, I personally think it’s more Sarah Connor but maybe it’s just because of the shotgun 😂. But watching all of it for the first time I’ve really enjoyed every episode as it’s just looks incredible, all the creatures look amazing and the writing is just top tier I honestly don’t think I can say anything bad about it and it’s been one of my favourite shows. Also the great thing about watching altogether now is I don’t have to wait over 2 years to watch the 5th series.
