Very happy you’ve decided to watch this, yeah it’s not quite as good as the original but it’s still a very good comedy & the 3rd one imo is really good too. One thing I loved about this one and I’m glad you picked up on it. was when Alan throws the Anker out of the boat when it stops on the beach. I just found it hilarious and am willing to bet it wasn’t scripted & he just did it. Also one little clam to fame was when i was on a friends stag party about 5 years ago we met Ken Jeong. He was really nice and very funny as he drop into the Chow character a couple of times. and had a couple of drinks with us.

It's a darker, raunchier, and more cynical version of the original. The film relied too heavily on the exact structure of the first movie, simply swapping Las Vegas for Bangkok. It's a faded copy of its predecessor, while the setting changed, the beats—waking up with no memory, a missing friend, and a ticking clock to a wedding—remained the same.
