This movie is heavy! Great performances from Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano And Terrence Howard. I did not see that ending coming!

This was the film that introduced me into the world of Denis Villeneuve.. Such a well made film that makes you feel the need to shower after too

This is a great movie, and a fantastic reaction. I love how you both fully experience the roller coaster of the good news/bad news highs and lows, and it reminds me of my first time watching. A great watch-along experience. Beyond the actual heart-racing mystery of the movie, I think it's also a fascinating interrogation of post-9/11 Americana from the perspective of a non-American filmmaker. With each of the 4 parents victimized by the crime, you get to witness the spectrum of the possible reactions to crisis. Obviously, we zero in on Keller's doomsday prepper, and I've been very interested since first seeing the movie to explore his character further. I wonder what both Villeneuve and Jackman think of that character, both being non-Americans. Despite the actual crime committed to launch the story, it's my opinion that Villeneuve sees Keller as the villain of the larger story he's telling. A man who is self-proclaimed prepared for anything is totally unprepared for what his family experiences, and he immediately turns to misguided violence. He's so sure he's right that he ultimately victimizes everyone around him. Just some food for thought. I'd be curious to hear other opinions. Anyway, great reaction! I just started following you on Patreon a few days ago and couldn't wait to watch along to this one. I look forward to watching many more. Keep up the great work!
