Yall brace yourselves because I'm about to ramble on about this franchise! I've been a huuuge League nerd since beta (still terrible at the game) but it's always nice to revisit all the media surrounding the actual game itself! I'll do my best to throw in what I think are nice tidbits about these cinematics!

The original trailer debuted in 2009 and its crazy to see how the production value for their cinematics jumped in a short 4 years to A Twist of Fate in 2013! Twisted Fate is the first champ we see as well as the original Fiddlesticks (you'll see their modern version later :)). I don't know if you had a chance to read the playlist description/read comments on these cinematics, but A Twist of Fate is a showcase of how the champions play in game, idealized. The champions are each seen using their abilities, some are more subtle than others: Ryze/the purple mage user is seen with blacked out eyes because the thing chasing him, Nocturne, has an ability in game that limits your vision! In this cinematic we see this as a pillar of creatures falls in front of Ryze. You can tell that the ability wears off soon after because Ryze's eyes are glowing clearly afterwards. Also, Ari caught Baron! Nasty looking creature. But also Annie, who was also seen in the launch trailer, gets a cinematic visual update in A Twist of Fate!

slightly off-topic but Denise, this hair colour is so good on you!!! also, i must reveal myself as a complete LoL noob honestly, I knew some of the music beforehand and then Arcane really sealed the deal, but otherwise I am very much new to all this, so I love that I can go down this particular rabbit hole with you guys. It's so fun to see the progression of the cinematics, very impressive work. Thanks for doing all this!!

That was baron right! It looked so majestic and wild. What a beast. It’s amazing seeing these things at a different scale than a view from the top. And we fell in love seeing the progression. Those last few cinematics man were movie quality. Really cinematic, great use of action and overall tone. Im begging riot to just go all out and make a film as well 😭
