😂 y'all rock! I would never stear yall wrong when it comes to request lol This movie has so many layers, hidden details here and there, it's brilliant! I could talk for an hour dissecting it but I won't lol Once you upload this to YouTube I'm sure my fellow YouTubers will fill you in on fun facts but just some quick ones 1)The cat at the beginning randomly walked in on the set wasn't originally written in but it worked 2)Luca Brasi was a legitimate gangster in real life, but he wasn't an actor so Francis Ford Coppola included the scene where he was practicing to make up for how nervous he was in front of marlon brando 3) The studio didn't want Al Pacino originally but the scene where he kills the cop and solozzo changed their mind, I'm glad y'all enjoyed this, It truly is a masterpiece 🙏

No wonder they were convinced Al Pacino deserved that role after seeing that performance...it was some brilliant acting! Thank you so much dieselbeast for recommending this and for your patience. We absolutely loved it!

A couple of things; you asked about the cop uniform; Al Neri, the character who does the Barzini shooting, is indeed a former cop although the movies never make that clear. His back story is told in the book; he is Michael's Luca Brasi. Actually, I want to say something on that; I dont know if you guys are familiar with the FanEdits site, which makes alternative versions of the movies by adding in all the deleted footage that they can find. Their Godfather edits are astounding, and I mean astounding. The best of them is a re-edit of the three movies into two films, one called Vito's Opus and the other called Michael's Opus. Obviously, you are best to wait until you've seen and reviewed all three movies before you watch that, and you'll see what I mean when you watch them, but if, after that, you're interested in seeing an alternative version of the story, re-ordered, re-edited and with every added scene - and some of them are brilliant, some of them enrich the story in amazing ways - I have both the Vito and Michael Opuses and can probably upload them to a hosting platform where you can download them. They really are incredible. Many of the deleted scenes offer greater insights into the characters ... there is one in the Don's office where they are discussing the changes to the family, where Tom finds out he's been cut out, where he tells Michael he's uncovered a secret and where Don Vito explicitly refers to Al Neri as "your Luca Brasi." Honestly, they are well worth your time.

We hadn't heard about these fan edits/Alternative cuts but now I have something to look forward to after we're done watching the trilogy. It would be an interesting exercise seeing the difference between these alternative cuts and the original. Thank you for letting us know! ❤️

Oh they are really tremendous and enriching. The ultimate way to watch these movies, I think.
