So sorry for writing this on my beloved Frieren upload but I just need somewhere to express my appreciation towards the new Chainsaw man movie that I saw today😭 oh. My. Gosh. The way it surpassed any expectation I had by a 1000. The cinematics, the effects, the SONGS everything was perfect and I can't even say I'm a big CSM fan or anything. I like it but that's all. That movie was peak, it left me speechless and I had to hold back tears. Idk when the geks will be able to react to it, but they will be shook, 100%. The effort put in it was insane. Ok that's all, back to Frieren ~

I love the small details in this show. Like Jack said even Stark putting on his jacket was so detailed and well animated. It's a very short scene that didn't have to be that detailed but it goes to show how much love and effort was put into making the show.

yessss, this episode might be in my top 5 frieren episodes because of the fight scene. But I'm so happy ya'll are appreciating that this anime highlights fight scenes and that then again, it isn't what defines anime. Frieren is a nice balance of cherishing the happy/small moments and shows mild yet important conflicts/fights. I'm like so impatient for the next reaction it's unbearable mannnn.

I wouldn't put Vinland or AOT at the same consistency as Frieren. Vinland doesn't move that much, it gets away with just really detailed drawings and direction most of the time. AOT has a lot of scuffed art and animation at times along with those infamous extremely long panning still frames earlier on which gets overshadowed by all the really good stuff. I can't recall a single instance of Frieren looking bad or having a noticeable lack of movement.

So good!! I know its so simple, but im so glad Jack acknowledged the fluidity and amazing animation of that scene of Stark putting on his jacket. While there are smaller examples of that detail throughout the show, that one scene was a chance to highlight how amazing the animation in this whole show is. Watching this episode again, im just still so impressed.

The studio that adapted Frieren is Madhouse and they go back quite a ways and are pretty well respected, they've done some classics like Black Lagoon, Claymore, Monster, they also did the first season of One Punch Man and Overlord plus a ton of other stuff. MAPPA another big studio was created by one of Madhouse's co-founders

And the color palette of this show is so soothing and cohesive! Even in fight scenes. Even when some characters design uses very strong colors like Stark’s red - it still blends in well! It’s so hard to explain but it’s so pretty

I'm sure many others have said it, but the consistency of animation quality in Frieren is superb, it really reminds me of Mushoku Tensei. I also love how dynamic the fights are, but it's not even just the fights, every movement is fluid and they use a lot of unique perspectives. I'm so hyped for the next episode too!

AAH THE COREOGRAPHY IS SO GOOD, if you go back and watch those fights, both Stark's and Fern's you pick up on so many small details that frankly don't need to be animated but it's what makes it so perfect, like one of my favourite details is just Fern's footwork while dodging Lugner's attacks like as an attack is coming in from the left you see her slowly taking a few steps to the right in preparation to dodge and it's just... those small unnecessary details that Madhouse puts the effort into animate is one of the things that makes this show so flawless imo, there's just no gaps in the animation like I like what Jack said about the animation not really changing cause the quality doesn't really pick up or anything the show's just at top quality in every scene

Worth pointing out that when Frieren 'fought' her before (same with Lügner), it was during the height of the demon king, with many demons all around, more of a war/battle compared to now. Frieren 1:1 is a different beast when she feels she needs to try versus just being around and helping out in a low-key fashion.

Himmel and his party are kinda is like a spearhead squad. They dealt with the army as much as possible on their way and went stright for the demon lord. They didn't pursue the demons that had run away after being defeated and prioritized killing the demon lord instead.

Honestly when i first watched this, i was literally thinking it'd be another fight where the male warrior knocks the stronger opponent while the female is somewhat good but is still just the background. Yet THIS MASTERPIECE got me HYPED like hell when i saw the fight, both were just phenomenal

The animation and fight scenes are great in this anime! Fern does have a good poker face. Stark definitely needs to have more faith and courage in himself. He is a good fighter, but he doesn't adapt to situations as quickly as Fern and Frieren do.
