It cracked me up that you all were whispering “chi” during the show’s eyecatch 🤣.The Japanese title of this anime, “チ,” is a phonetic way of writing the sound chi. There are many different kanji that are pronounced chi, and they reflect the various themes explored in the anime. For example, chi can be written as “地”, as in “地動説（heliocentrism)”. I wish we got more anime/manga based on historical fiction like this, on its face a story about proving that the earth moves doesn't sound that exciting to most and is probably why this show is so underappreciated, but it's genuinely one of the most beautiful stories I've ever experienced

I like when Cannon made the comment about Nowak is not necessarily ‘evil’ and he is just a man who is doing his job. Depending on the side of history we are on, there might be dichotomous perspectives. Those that pursue religion as gospel is not necessarily in the ‘wrong’, and those that sought nature for answers also should not be punished for seeking an alternative version to what is believed to be ‘the truth’ at the time. The beauty in curiosity is to simply have room for both doubts and faith. I hope you will continue to enjoy the show, Geks! :)

I knew I liked the show when I watched ep 1, ep 2 was the one that hooked me completely, and it was episode 3 that really made me fall in love with it. First 3 episodes are so well done. I cant wait for tomorrow's drop ♥️

I'm loving the long discussions you guys have for this show!! I find it interesting that Hubert was not restricted by Catholicism in researching heliocentrism because he wanted to prove his theory but also was restricted because he thinks the universe is "heaven" and therefore can't be researched. RIP though he would have loved NASA :(
