After so many years, Tally Ho now has a functional chart table and nav station! (Patreon)

As well as traditional paper charts, Tally Ho is equipped with modern electronic navigational equipment. On the ships computer we are using TimeZero Navigation Software to display charts, radar, depth sounder, and all manner of other nav data.

I chose this system to back up traditional navigation because the TimeZero software is so versatile and functional. As someone who is used to paper charts, I can configure the plotter to display paper-style charts on the screen, which means I'm never at risk of missing information because of over- or under-zoom. Having a large monitor is also really great for seeing the bigger picture, and feels more like looking at a real chart. It's easy to download and overlay weather files too, which is really helpful for passage planning.

There's still a lot of work to do before we can actually set sail, but can anyone guess where Tally Ho's first voyage might be?!
