An Update (and an injury)! (Patreon)

Newsflash ; I injured a finger recently. It's fine really, I just chopped the end off my middle finger on my right hand (about 1/2 inch). But I thought I should let you guys know. In fact, that's why I had to release the interview video last week - I was unable to edit a normal video like I usually would.
I can't actually tell anyone how it happened right now, but it was basically just a silly accident, and my own fault. Luckily I have insurance. I was a bit annoyed about having a permanently shortened finger for a couple of days, but I feel fine about it now, and am in good spirits! I didn't do much work for the first few days, but am more-or-less back to it, now. However, I shouldn't do any really heavy work with my right hand for a while, so things are going to be a little bit slower for a while, which is frustrating.
I can edit video again though, so the next video should be out on Saturday, which will catch up on the previous month of progress, and you can actually see my gory hand! For those of you who want to know the nasty details, I cut clean through the bone, but I didn't lose or damage any of the joints. Cecca won't look at it but says it will give me extra character, haha... I'm not sure if she means in a good way or not!
Other than that unfortunate mishap, things are going well, if a little cold! There is thick frost on the Live Oak. We have 6 full sets of frames in the boat, and the 7th set is ready to go in over the next few days. Ben and Steve had to leave last week unfortunately, but there is another guy here now, and hopefully Kurt will be coming back in a week or so.
In other news, I am very close to getting the timber for replacing the rest of the Centreline! Once the next frame is in in the next few days, I will have finished every station-frame in the centre section of the boat (the centre 1/3) - however, we still have the intermediate frames (in between the station frames) to replace.
Once the centre section is fully reframed (or perhaps even before), I will choose either the bow or stern, and replace the centreline timbers in that area before replacing those frames. This will be big, heavy, exciting work, and should mean a lot of fast visual progress. I am going to be using Purpleheart for those centreline timbers, and it's thanks to YOU GUYS that I can afford this timber. So, once again, MASSIVE THANKS to ALL OF YOU! I'm absolutely amazed and very very happy that I can continue to work on Tally Ho more-or-less full time at the moment, without having to work overseas every few months.
I have lots of really exciting ideas about the future, but right now I'm just trying to stay focused on the present task and not get carried away. So, a few more frames, and if I can get a couple of the volunteers trained-up well to tackle the majority of that process, then I can start prepping for the replacement of the centreline timbers. And I'm thinking about trying to get the ball rolling on some of the bronze-work for the structural floors, but I will have to get a few quotes and see what is affordable.
Anyway, that's all for now. A million thanks for all your kind support, this project would be a very different story without it. Stay tuned for another video on Saturday!
With thanks
Leo
ps. Feel free to guess, but it wasn't the table-saw or the ship-saw!
