*APRIL FOOLS* (Patreon)

Thanks everyone for playing along so well with our April Fools video on Saturday, April 1st! We did fool a few people, and I apologise to anyone who felt too upset by the fake chainsaw scene! 

Of course we will not actually be installing a big door into the topsides - it would be a huge structural problem as well as a safety issue. The beautiful door that Nic is working on is actually going to be used inside the boat - any guesses where it will be located? 

Funnily enough, some old timber schooners actually did have small doors in their bow for loading long timbers which wouldn't fit through the deck hatches. These doors would be planked over and caulked before going to sea.
