Remember Bob?! He was introduced some time ago when he made and fitted the Channels, and since then he's been really busy helping with lots of rig design and drawing work, amongst other things. Most recently, he made these beautiful strop-blocks for Tally Ho's rig ("block" is basically the nautical term for a pulley!) These blocks were made as test pieces to make sure we like the look and feel of them, and to set up all the tooling to make a lot more. These ones are made with Black Locust shells, Stainless Steel pins, Delrin sheaves, and "served" Dyneema strops. In Tally Ho's rig there will be dozens of blocks - some of them stropped like this, and some of them attached via bronze hardware. High-load blocks will be made with Black Locust shells like this, and the other will be made with Ash shells.
