Here I am caught on camera by @ptmaritime whilst filming Tally Ho moving out of the shed a couple of weeks ago!
Documenting this project since the start has added an unimaginable amount of time and workload, but it's literally the only thing making it all possible. Apart from the small amount of savings I started with, and a few bits of work I did for other people in the first couple of years, the videos I've made have (directly or indirectly) completely funded Tally Ho's rebuild from the start up until now. In terms of money, that's a mixture of donations and advertising revenue - but there's also been so much assistance in other forms given to the project from the amazing community that has built around these videos.
When I started filming on the first day that I saw Tally Ho, I had no idea what was coming - and if I had, perhaps I would have run a mile. But it's been incredibly rewarding, in so many ways - and one of the many things I've learned over these years is that I love creating video.
There is still so much to do on Tally Ho before we can set sail, and it's hard to say where the adventure will lead after the boat is launched. But wherever the wind blows, I hope to take a camera with me and keep telling stories.
