Compass! (Patreon)

Patrick is getting the steering compass installed! An extremely important piece of navigational equipment, the compass needs to be mounted somewhere  prominent and visible from the steering position. This is a new classic compass from Ritchie Navigation, and it will be enclosed and protected by a brass hood, seen at the left of this picture. The compass mounts through a hole in the deck and contains a dim red light for night-use.
