Chain Gypsy! (Patreon)

This photo may not look like that much, but for me it's extremely exciting! This is the new Gypsy for Tally Ho's original Capstan. This piece will grab the links of chain and hold on to them while the capstan rotates, thus pulling the chain and anchor in towards the boat. This Gypsy is custom-made to fit our specific chain and capstan dimensions, and was machined in Cornwall UK by Webster's Boat Machinery. It will soon be sent to Keith Rucker in Georgia USA who will mount it in the original Capstan, before the whole assembly is transported to Port Townsend to be installed on Tally Ho's foredeck. Phew!
