Castor drummed his fingers against the counter. “This is a bad idea, Pollux,” the gorilla rumbled to his twin.

“You worry too much!” Pollux replied, hefting up a vat the size of a beer keg on the counter. “Trust me, this is my best batch yet.”

Castor gave his brother a long look. The two gorillas had entered the health industry, setting up a small shop selling supplements, protein powder, and other diet and exercise related paraphernalia. They certainly knew a thing or two about supplements; both were disgraced athletes that had fallen out of favor for their use of legally questionable substances, and it certainly showed. Castor was the leaner of the two; a bodybuilder with a carefully sculpted body, made up of huge, rippling muscles under his glossy fur. It was his idea to set up the store, but it was Pollux providing their latest product. A former professional wrestler, it was safe to say that Pollux had gone to seed. He was still a powerhouse, with broad, mountainous shoulders and thick, burgeoning limbs, but he was also noticeably more prosperous around the middle than he had been.

“What’d you put in this one?” Castor asked as he gingerly opened the keg, looking in at the protein powder.

“Uh… y’know, the usual stuff.”

“Polly.” The bodybuilding gorilla turned to his brother, arms crossed as biceps dug into his pecs. “Tell me you didn’t put anything illegal in here.”

Pollux bounced on the balls of his feet. “Look, Cass, it’ll work, alright? It’s the most potent growth additive I’ve made.” He pointed to the front door. “First customer that walks through there gets a free smoothie, and you’ll see. He’ll be a god when we’re done with him.”

“Yeah, that’s great, but what happens when the FDA comes knocking again? We can’t bank on every agent being a wrestling fan or… looking for a date with a bodybuilder,” Castor muttered, rubbing the back of his head.

“Uh-huh.”

The front door’s bell jingled as a new customer entered, and the two burly twins snapped to attention. Pollux exchanged a smirk with Castor as he approached him. “Hey! Welcome to Heroic Health. Lucky you, you just won our… contest!” Pollux grinned toothily, draping his beefy arm over their customer’s narrow shoulders. “You’re our, uh. Eleven thousand and second customer.”

Castor smacked his forehead, but their customer, a lean otter with sleek brown fur, arched his brow. “Oh, wow. Really? What’d I win?”

“Well, what brings you here, champ?” Pollux asked, jostling the otter.

“I, uh,” the otter blushed, adjusting the tie around his neck. “My name’s Joe, and I was sort of looking to, well, bulk up.”

“Hah!” Pollux smacked Joe on the back. “Aren’t you just precious?” Pollux winked to Castor, with a knowing wink. “Well, you get to try our newest supplement. Lemme fix you up a protein shake like you wouldn’t believe.” The hulking former wrestler squeezed past his brother, and got to work, pouring liberal amounts of his powder into the blender.

“What flavor is it?” Joe asked, peeking over Castor’s boulder-sized shoulders. “Does it taste good?”

Castor loomed over the otter, resting his chin on his fist as he gave him a wry grin. “You’ve never had a protein shake before, have you?”

Pollux slammed a large glass down on the counter, filled with what appeared to be liquid cement. “There you go! This is going to pack some serious meat on your bones, guaranteed.”

“Oh, wow…” the otter cleared his throat, looking warily at the mixture. Joe hummed softly as he gulped down the shake, nose wrinkling as he tipped his head back. The thick slurry wasn’t particularly flavorful, at least not in a positive sense. If not for the stares of the primates in front of him he would have spat it out. With a strangled gulp he finally managed to down the shake, groaning as he felt it settle in his stomach like a lead weight. Of course that sensation didn’t seem to cease. If anything it was beginning to feel stronger as his belly churned. Reaching down he clutched at his belly before hiccuping.

“Uh…” Pollux exchanged looks with his brothers. “You okay, bud?”

As his body jolted a few buttons went pinging from his shirt as brown-furred flesh began to spill out, jiggling lightly as adipose started to build. A second chin formed under the otter’s muzzle as his cheeks puffed out as his collar burst across as swelling tire of fat that swaddled his neck. Seams began to pop and tear as blubber padded his limbs, forearms beginning to look like Christmas hams while thunder thighs forced his stance to widen. Even his fingers began to thicken, puffing up like sausages. He yelped as the seat of his pants split wide open across a pair of jiggling cheeks.

Pollux!” Castor hissed, grabbing his brother by the scruff of his neck as their customer’s billowing gut pressed into the counter, a thick layer of lard spilling over the top. “What’d you do?”

“I- I don’t know!” the other gorilla’s jaw dropped open as he stared at the otter.

The otter’s tail wasn’t spared either as it inflated, growing thick and heavy as he stumbled and shifted. His burgeoning belly was inching downward over his swollen thighs, jostling and quivering as dense rolls of fat built up at his sides. It didn’t even occur to him he was panting with exertion from just his sudden influx of mass. Pound after pound flooded his body, the curve of his belly brushing his thighs when that lead weight seemed to dissipate. It was replaced by the sensation of weight across his body, every inch utterly swallowed in cushy mass.

Joe groaned loudly, not entirely aware of what was going on as Pollux waded into the layers of lard, leaning into the otter’s engorged belly. Even after this monumental shift in his body size, there was a low growl emanating from the bowels of his belly. “‘m hungry…” Joe slurred, even his eyelids feeling fat and heavy.

“So…” Pollux forced on a winning smile as he leaned into the mountain of brown-furred blubber taking up most of his shop. “That’s the… bulking part done. Can we interest you in some cutting programs? We got some great stuff for cardio…”
