Transylvania 0.5.17 + brief update (Patreon)

Hey guys,

It is somewhat later than the end of the month, so first and foremost - apologies for the delay, and the lack of heads up. I got swiped up in another one of Life's Big Waves(tm) and am landing on my feet, yet again :/

Since I was not able to complete the full story with everything planned for Felicia's end romance (and I want to do it justice), I have decided to push out some things to keep it going, while continuing work on the longer branch.

So, this update brings you the last scene from the Intimate interactions, giving you some more options to sub for your favorite shop keeper, as well as a new animated illustration to go with it, and some quality of life improvements and better journal tracking across all of Felicia's interactions in chapters 1 and 2.

Future patch schedule

In light of the current disruption, and as this update is dropping on the 20th, I will be (temporarily) out of synch with the usual end-of-month cycle, so I can focus on quality and polish in lieu of perfect timing. Things may drop on smaller or larger chunks, as they are ready, until we return to order.

Things being worked on

To keep the project on track while I'm dealing with personal stuff, I'm currently funneling a lot of the resources into areas that can cook in the hands of talented individuals:

1. Due to increasingly popular demand, I have started putting together an official Game Companion, in the form of an interactive map of the world that contains a full visual walkthrough of each task, bonus information on characters and locations, as well as new world art. Following your feedback from the last survey, this seems to be a highly requested feature, and all of the art from the world map can be ported into the game in future updates and developed into a full in-game map for easier tracking of the various plotlines and info.

2. Animated character screens - as you may have noticed, there has been some new pixel art lately in the journal and general UI places, that is being done by a new artist. As things are going well, we are working on full "character screens", that will show scenes of beloved characters as you browse their info - along with a full journal remake. It's a slow burn, but I'm thinking ahead.
