672. The Conditions of the Clairvoyant Supreme
Amidst the boundless chaos, Lin Fei glanced back at the Dark Demon Domain.
"The Supreme of Doomsday..." Lin Fei murmured softly.
The Dark Demon Lord's greatest reliance, or hope, against Lin Fei, was the Supreme of Doomsday. Naturally, Lin Fei had to be cautious about the Supreme of Doomsday.
But could the Supreme of Doomsday truly challenge Lin Fei? Lin Fei was unsure.
When he returned to Kunyu City, he would naturally investigate. For now, Lin Fei still could not resolve the Dark Demon Domain. A chaos realm was indeed not so easily dealt with.
"Even if my Eternal Realm were to increase to 20%, 30%, or even 40%, I doubt it would be enough to completely resolve the Dark Demon Domain. Perhaps, the Eternal Realm needs to undergo a transformation. Only by reaching above 50% could it possibly suppress the Dark Demon Domain completely. Only by fully suppressing the Dark Demon Domain could I then annihilate it and thereby resolve the Dark Demon Lord!"
Lin Fei murmured lowly. A sharp gleam flashed in his eyes.
Lin Fei did not believe that to resolve the Dark Demon Domain, he necessarily had to become the Master of Chaos. In fact, he was currently merely a Martial Ancestor.
Many people had forgotten, or rather, could not believe, he had not even achieved the rank of Supreme! Only when the Eternal Realm reached 100%, could one become a Supreme. By that time, Lin Fei would likely already be invincible among Supremes.
Lin Fei did not continue to linger in the Dark Demon Domain. He transformed into a streak of light, heading back to the Divine Realm.
Soon, Lin Fei returned to the Divine Realm. He spent some tender moments with his wife.
After spending some time with his family, Lin Fei set off again, preparing to head to Kunyu City. In the Divine Realm, he could not enhance his strength at all. He ultimately had to venture into the chaos.
Lin Fei also promised to return again after three years. Once every three years. It was unlikely to cause any serious issues.
Moreover, even if something serious did occur, the Azure Emperor Supreme could always go to Kunyu City to find Lin Fei. Once in Kunyu City, the Supremes of the Divine Realm could contact Lin Fei.
After spending some time in the Divine Realm, Lin Fei finally returned to Kunyu City. Upon his return, Lin Fei immediately visited the task hall. It had taken him a year to return to the Divine Realm, and another year to get back to Kunyu City. He had also spent time with his family in the Divine Realm.
That meant, from the time Lin Fei left Kunyu City until now, more than two years had passed. In those two years, the task hall of Kunyu City had updated many missions.
Lin Fei wanted to see if there were any tasks related to the Chaotic Behemoth. So far, the consumption of the Chaotic Behemoth's essence had consistently boosted the progress of his Eternal Realm. To rapidly enhance his strength in a short period of time, he still needed to rely on the Chaotic Behemoth.
However, Chaotic Behemoths were ultimately rare. Even after two years, there were no tasks concerning the Chaotic Behemoth in the task hall.
Lin Fei frowned. Without tasks involving Chaotic Behemoths, he would have to continue waiting.
Just then, Lin Fei's communication stone vibrated.
Seeing this stone, Lin Fei's gaze shifted slightly. This was the communication stone he left when posting tasks. The vibration of this stone meant only one thing: someone was willing to take on a task.
Could it be that someone had information or news about a Chaotic Behemoth?
Lin Fei immediately took out the communication stone. Displayed on the stone was a specific location—presumably the position of the other party.
However, they had not claimed the task. This seemed somewhat odd. In other places, Lin Fei might be wary and cautious.
But here, in Kunyu City, no one dared to cause trouble. This city was under the domain of the omnipotent, immensely powerful Master of Chaos. The safety of everyone could still be assured.
"Who could it be? So secretive, it might be worth checking out."
Lin Fei was indeed curious. Moreover, he was not willing to let go of any news about the Chaotic Behemoth.
As long as there was news or intelligence about a Chaotic Behemoth, Lin Fei was open to negotiating any conditions.
Quickly leaving the task hall, Lin Fei flew towards the specified location. In Kunyu City, he arrived at a secluded courtyard.
"Supreme Lin, please come inside."
Lin Fei had just reached the gate when it swung open, a voice calling from inside.
Without hesitation, Lin Fei entered the courtyard. Inside, he saw a man of human stature, presumably a human Supreme. Even to Lin Fei's discerning eyes, the man appeared exceptionally handsome.
"Supreme Lin, please have a seat."
Lin Fei sat down.
The man began, "You may call me the Clairvoyant Supreme. I invited Supreme Lin here somewhat presumptuously because I have a favor to ask."
"A favor?" Lin Fei responded coolly. "Clairvoyant Supreme, be straightforward. I do not offer my assistance lightly. Unless you have news or intelligence about a Chaotic Behemoth."
With news of a Chaotic Behemoth, everything was negotiable. Otherwise, Lin Fei would not entertain the Clairvoyant Supreme.
The Clairvoyant Supreme paused for a moment, then sighed deeply. "Actually, I do not know specific information about any Chaotic Behemoth. But I do know where to find Chaotic Behemoths. Not just one or two, but many Chaotic Behemoths."
"Many Chaotic Behemoths?" Lin Fei's gaze sharpened. "Is this true?"
It wasn't just one or two Chaotic Behemoths but many.
Could this be possible?
Lin Fei had never heard of a location with many Chaotic Behemoths. He had been searching for a long time and had gathered a lot of information about Chaotic Behemoths. But he had only ever found basic information.
For instance, Chaotic Behemoths were rare and generally did not congregate. Even if some Chaotic Behemoths had offspring, they typically left as soon as the young could fend for themselves. How could non-gregarious Chaotic Behemoths appear not just singly or doubly, but in many?
The Clairvoyant Supreme's expression grew somber, his voice grave as he affirmed, "It is indeed absolutely true. How could I dare deceive Supreme Lin in such a matter? However, the small favor I wish to ask of you is not so simple. And the place with many Chaotic Behemoths is not so easily accessed. Whether you are willing to help depends on Supreme Lin's decision."
After speaking, the Clairvoyant Supreme fell silent, waiting quietly for Lin Fei's response.
Lin Fei pondered for a moment before asking, "Tell me, what do you need me to do?"
He needed to know exactly what was involved before he could make a decision.
"It's simple, help me obtain the Chaos Pearl. If I can secure the Chaos Pearl, I will gladly provide you with all the information about Chaotic Behemoths. However, obtaining the Chaos Pearl is not easy. You will be facing not just any Supremes, but top-tier Supremes, and possibly more than one. If you do not obtain the Chaos Pearl, then I'm sorry, I will not be able to provide any information about Chaotic Behemoths."
The Clairvoyant Supreme laid out his request.
The Chaos Pearl! This Supreme was asking Lin Fei to help him obtain a Chaos Pearl!
Lin Fei had heard a bit about the Chaos Pearl. It was a treasure of immense benefit to those aiming to become the Master of Chaos. Numerous top-tier Supremes were vying for the Chaos Pearl. Whenever there was news of a Chaos Pearl, those Supremes would desperately compete for it.
The Clairvoyant Supreme's request was certainly not a minor one. In fact, the demands were exceedingly high! Even for a top-tier Supreme, once involved in the struggle for the Chaos Pearl, there would be dangers involved. It was not going to be easy.
For a moment, Lin Fei also fell silent. Clearly, for any Supreme, this decision was a difficult one to make!
673. Setting up the Formation, No One Can Leave
"I agree," Lin Fei stated, his gaze icy as he looked at the Clairvoyant Supreme before him. "If the information about the Chaotic Behemoth does not satisfy me, you should be aware of the consequences."
Even though the Clairvoyant Supreme was a top-tier Supreme, Lin Fei was not intimidated. Indeed, even top-tier Supremes, without special means, could be slain by Lin Fei with ease given his current strength. Thus, to Lin Fei, a top-tier Supreme was not much different from a regular Supreme.
If the final information about the Chaotic Behemoth provided by the Clairvoyant Supreme did not satisfy Lin Fei, he would not let the matter slide.
In response to Lin Fei's threat, the Clairvoyant Supreme did not show anger but instead smiled lightly. "Rest assured, Supreme Lin. Help me compete for the Chaos Pearl. If you are unsatisfied with the information about the Chaotic Behemoth in the end, you are free to act against me at any time. Leave the judgment to Supreme Lin!"
The Clairvoyant Supreme was magnanimous, showing neither anger nor disturbance. It appeared he truly did possess information about the Chaotic Behemoth, perhaps even more than one.
"Very well, where do we go to vie for the Chaos Pearl?" Lin Fei asked. He understood that competing for the Chaos Pearl was not going to be an easy task. Once the Chaos Pearl appeared, it could not possibly be kept secret. It would certainly be discovered by countless Supremes, thus sparking a monumental contest.
Who would ultimately possess the Chaos Pearl was uncertain, but it would likely be a top-tier Supreme.
Now, although the Clairvoyant Supreme was a top-tier Supreme, he was not confident on his own. Therefore, he had enlisted Lin Fei. Together, the two top-tier Supremes might stand a chance.
"The Chaos Pearl has already appeared," the Clairvoyant Supreme revealed. "However, it has changed hands several times. Currently, it is near, or rather, in the Anlan Realm. Many Supremes have already gone there to contend for it. So, we too must hurry. We need to arrive in the Anlan Realm swiftly and forcefully to secure the Chaos Pearl."
"Anlan Realm?"
Lin Fei's gaze flickered with a curious light. He hadn't expected that the Chaos Pearl would once again be connected to a realm.
"Is there no Ruler in the Anlan Realm?" Lin Fei inquired further.
"There's no Ruler; Anlan Realm is inhabited by some Supremes," the Clairvoyant Supreme explained. "However, given the current situation, those Supremes from Anlan Realm can only stand aside and try to avoid the fierce competition for the Chaos Pearl to prevent their realm from being destroyed. For us, they pose no threat."
Lin Fei nodded. "There's no time to waste, let's depart immediately."
"Agreed, let's go at once!" Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme were not ones to dawdle. Decisively, they set off.
In a flash, the two transformed into a streak of light, speeding towards the depths of chaos.
...
Near the Anlan Realm.
Streaks of light flew in from the chaos, each one a Supreme turning their gaze towards the Anlan Realm. Anlan Realm was vast, but against such a number of Supremes, it hardly seemed so.
"More Supremes have arrived. The Anlan Realm has been turned upside down already, yet the Chaos Pearl still eludes us."
"Damn it, why did that Supreme who obtained the Chaos Pearl flee to our Anlan Realm? This is an unwarranted disaster."
"Nowadays, Anlan Realm is no longer just about Supremes. Many top-tier Supremes have also arrived. If the battle continues here, I fear Anlan Realm might not survive..."
The Supremes of Anlan Realm were deeply worried. Indeed, Anlan Realm was not a weak realm. In fact, it had been quite secretive previously.
Unfortunately, once a Supreme brought the Chaos Pearl here, many more Supremes followed. Since then, Anlan Realm was no longer a secret, its location was now exposed.
If it were just that, Anlan Realm might still have stood a chance. After all, Anlan Realm actually housed many Supremes, even more than the Divine Realm, with dozens of Supremes. Yet, it had never birthed a realm Ruler.
Now, because of the Chaos Pearl, it wasn't just ordinary Supremes arriving but top-tier Supremes as well. Not to mention, Anlan Realm lacked a realm Ruler. Even if there were a Ruler, it might not have made a difference.
However, if there had been a Ruler, perhaps the Chaos Pearl would have ended up in the hands of Anlan Realm's Ruler. In that case, the other Supremes might not have had much of a chance.
With a whooshing sound, two figures appeared in the chaotic void outside the Anlan Realm.
"This is Anlan Realm," stated the Clairvoyant Supreme nonchalantly.
A flicker of curiosity crossed Lin Fei's gaze. He pondered for a moment before slowly asking, "The Chaos Pearl was brought into Anlan Realm by a Supreme, then went through some contention, and there were even Supremes who perished. Why didn't the Supreme who obtained the Chaos Pearl return to Kunyu City, or another city within the chaos? Once back in Kunyu City, no one is allowed to engage in combat. Wouldn't the Chaos Pearl be secured then?"
This was Lin Fei's question.
How could a small realm like Anlan possibly offer a hiding place?
The Clairvoyant Supreme smiled slightly and said, "Supreme Lin, do you think the Supreme who obtained the Chaos Pearl doesn't want to return to Kunyu City? On the contrary, he definitely wants to return to Kunyu City, he probably dreams of it. But can he go back? He cannot!
From the moment he obtained the Chaos Pearl, it became impossible for him to return to Kunyu City. Because he has been continuously hunted. Any Supreme who obtains the Chaos Pearl will be pursued and besieged. In such a situation, how could he possibly return to Kunyu City?"
Lin Fei understood. It was not that he didn't want to return, but that he couldn't.
Unable to return, the Chaos Pearl could only be repeatedly contested for within the Anlan Realm. Many Supremes had fallen during these conflicts, which was common.
Top-tier Supremes intervening and slaughtering ordinary Supremes was all too easy. The number of ordinary Supremes who had perished at Lin Fei's hands was uncountable.
After all, Lin Fei had "swept through" the entire Dark Demon Domain of its Supremes.
There were dozens, if not hundreds, of Supremes from the Dark Demon Domain. Killing Supremes was as easy as flipping his hand for Lin Fei. Of course, the Clairvoyant Supreme was unaware of Lin Fei's formidable strength.
However, the current focus was not on slaying ordinary Supremes. Even the Clairvoyant Supreme could accomplish that. The key was to locate the Chaos Pearl.
"The Chaos Pearl is likely already in the hands of a top-tier Supreme, currently within the Anlan Realm," the Clairvoyant Supreme declared coldly. "Thus, we don't need to enter Anlan Realm to compete for it. We'll just guard the outside. Anyone who dares to come out, we'll confront them—either they hand over the Chaos Pearl or they will be cut down!"
The Clairvoyant Supreme was ruthless. Rather than engaging in the fray within the Anlan Realm, he chose to guard its outskirts, ready in the chaotic void. After all, whoever obtained the Chaos Pearl would undoubtedly want to leave the Anlan Realm and return to Kunyu City. That would be Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme's opportunity to strike.
This approach, however, would require absolute strength to overpower any Supreme. Otherwise, it would be a joke.
"You have my thanks, Supreme Lin," the Clairvoyant Supreme said.
"It's settled then. Should any Supreme leave Anlan Realm, I will make my move," Lin Fei responded, his gaze intense as he watched over the Anlan Realm.
"Good, I will set up the formation now!" The Clairvoyant Supreme was already prepared. He began to arrange a formidable formation, one that would envelop the entire Anlan Realm.
Once the formation was complete, anyone emerging from Anlan Realm would be trapped by it. This formation served primarily as a warning mechanism. While it had a restraining effect, its power was not immense—it wouldn't stop a Supreme of Anlan Realm on its own.
However, there were Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme. Should anyone dare to forcefully break through the formation, that would be their cue to intervene. This strategy positioned them not just as gatekeepers but as the ultimate enforcers, ready to pounce at the first sign of the Chaos Pearl making its escape from the realm.
674. Lin Fei Takes Action! Expulsion or Execution?
However, the actions of Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme had stirred quite a bit of discussion among the onlookers.
"What are they doing?"
"It looks like they're setting up a formation. Are they planning to seal off the entire Anlan Realm?"
"No formation can completely lock down a realm. It must be a warning formation. Anyone entering or leaving Anlan Realm will be detected by this warning formation."
"But even if they detect someone, what then? Do these two Supremes really dare to attack at will?"
"That's rather domineering!"
Many were taken aback. They had seen arrogance before, but this level of overbearing behavior was unprecedented.
"The formation in Anlan Realm allows entry but not exit. Those who think of entering should think twice. It's easy to get in, but once you want to get out, you'll have to pass our inspection. Only after confirming that you don't have the Chaos Pearl will you be allowed to leave. If someone tries to forcefully break through the formation and leave Anlan Realm, then don't blame us—there will be no mercy!"
The Clairvoyant Supreme's eyes turned icy, his voice echoing ominously.
"Humph. What an audacity! Even top-tier Supremes aren't this domineering! I not only want to enter but also intend to leave. What can you do about it?"
The Clairvoyant Supreme's words instantly ruffled many Supremes. One of them immediately spoke up, challenging the Clairvoyant Supreme directly.
"Hmm? You might try."
The Clairvoyant Supreme's gaze was icy. He stared at his challenger. Without engaging, it was hard to tell whether the other was a regular Supreme or a top-tier one. The challenging Supreme seemed quite confident, likely not just a regular Supreme.
"No need to try. I intend to enter Anlan Realm and compete for the Chaos Pearl. You are also here for the Chaos Pearl. Conflict is inevitable, so we might as well resolve this here and now."
The challenging Supreme sneered.
"What a big talk!"
The Clairvoyant Supreme's gaze chilled further. He was a top-tier Supreme himself. No one had dared to speak to him with such audacity before—even with Lin Fei, a formidable ally, at his side. That did not mean the Clairvoyant Supreme was any less capable.
"I'd like to see how you plan to 'resolve' us."
With a swift motion, the Clairvoyant Supreme struck. He attacked the challenging Supreme without a moment's hesitation, unleashing his full power.
A thunderous roar echoed through the area.
The Clairvoyant Supreme's initial strike warped the very fabric of the chaotic void. With a single palm, it seemed as though he had restrained his opponent, immense pressure emanating from all directions.
"Top-tier Supreme?" the challenged Supreme muttered under his breath, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes as he recognized the power behind the Clairvoyant Supreme's attack. Unintimidated, he lunged forward, his own palm thrusting out in a direct counter.
The impact was immense and straightforward—pure power clashing with no fancy techniques. The force of their collision swept out in all directions, the shockwave palpable.
The Clairvoyant Supreme was shaken to his core. A spluttering sound followed, and in an astonishing turn of events, the Supreme's body started to collapse. It was sudden, but not entirely without warning. Unbeknownst to him, his opponent's force had already begun eroding his physical form.
At the moment of impact, the Clairvoyant Supreme's body simply couldn't withstand the strain and crumbled. He had been defeated.
While his body was shattered and he lay defeated, the Clairvoyant Supreme did not die. He recovered almost instantly, regenerating from the damage which, to someone of his stature, was trivial. Yet, despite surviving, he had undeniably been beaten—overpowered in a direct confrontation.
The Clairvoyant Supreme's expression darkened significantly. "Who exactly are you?" he demanded, his gaze cold and questioning.
The opposing Supreme stood with his hands behind his back, his demeanor commanding as he surveyed the scene. Slowly, he responded, "You might as well know, I am Nebula Supreme."
"Nebula Supreme?" the Clairvoyant Supreme murmured to himself. The name was unfamiliar to him, but that mattered little now. From this day onward, many would know of Nebula Supreme, especially given his prowess in defeating the Clairvoyant Supreme head-on.
Clearly, Nebula Supreme was no ordinary combatant. His strength was sufficient to make waves across the chaos.
"And you," Nebula Supreme turned his attention to Lin Fei, his tone both challenging and dismissive. "Do you also wish to fight?"
Nebula Supreme's gaze fell upon Lin Fei, who emitted a peculiar aura, so much so that Nebula himself doubted whether Lin Fei was a Supreme at all. Yet, considering the Clairvoyant Supreme's demeanor, it was clear that Lin Fei was held in high regard, likely possessing strength not inferior to that of the Clairvoyant Supreme himself.
Lin Fei glanced at the Clairvoyant Supreme and spoke softly, "Clairvoyant Supreme, shall we expel or execute?"
"Expel or execute?" The Clairvoyant Supreme hesitated for a moment before responding, "If they breach the formation forcefully, slay them if possible. If not, expulsion will suffice."
Lin Fei nodded, understanding the plan. However, while Lin Fei grasped the concept, the Clairvoyant Supreme himself was somewhat perplexed. How could a Supreme of such stature be slain?
It was known that Nebula Supreme was stronger than the Clairvoyant Supreme, both being top-tier Supremes. The idea of killing such a being seemed far-fetched unless the disparity in power was vast, such as between a common Supreme and a top-tier one—a gap that allowed for easy elimination of the lesser by the greater.
The Clairvoyant Supreme might have believed in Lin Fei's formidable strength, but facing Nebula Supreme was another matter. Defeating Nebula would be an impressive feat in itself; the thought of killing him had never crossed the Clairvoyant's mind.
But Lin Fei took it seriously, and he was acutely aware that to seize the Chaos Pearl, he must first establish his dominance. Otherwise, anyone would dare to challenge the formation. Managing one challenger after another would be manageable for Lin Fei but nonetheless cumbersome.
Only by demonstrating overwhelming force could he deter others from recklessly attempting to breach the formation. And should he manage to slay Nebula Supreme, a top-tier among them, it would surely intimidate the rest.
With a resonant hum, Lin Fei made his move.
In a flash, Lin Fei moved, a radiant light burgeoning around him and sweeping toward Nebula Supreme. This was the eternal light of the Eternal Realm, capable of dragging adversaries into its depths. Once within Lin Fei's Eternal Realm, even a top-tier Supreme faced a certain demise.
"How audacious!" Nebula Supreme exclaimed, his eyes flashing with a chill. "Dare to strike indeed. Very well, this will be a harsh lesson for you!"
Despite having defeated the Clairvoyant Supreme, Nebula was astonished that Lin Fei would boldly confront him. Did Lin Fei believe he was kind?
A flicker of murderous intent crossed Nebula's gaze, yet he was blissfully unaware of the impending danger.
As the eternal light enveloped him, Nebula Supreme found himself powerless to resist, swiftly drawn into the Eternal Realm. In the blink of an eye, he vanished.
"What's happening?"
"How has Nebula Supreme disappeared?"
"Look! That Supreme has transformed into a world!"
"It seems Nebula Supreme has been swept into that Supreme's realm!"
Onlookers witnessed as Lin Fei became one with his realm, trapping Nebula Supreme within. Panic seized Nebula; he had been pulled into the Eternal Realm without even a chance to resist. This maneuver instilled a profound sense of dread within him, an eerie premonition that this place was extraordinary.
"Annihilate!"
The next moment, a chilling voice echoed around Nebula Supreme within the confines of the Eternal Realm.
675. Slaying a Top-Tier Supreme
With a thunderous roar, Nebula Supreme immediately felt a terrifying power crushing in from all directions, causing his heart to palpitate. An intense sense of danger enveloped him, giving rise to a foreboding that he might actually perish.
"How could I possibly die?" Nebula Supreme was utterly astonished. How could he, a distinguished top-tier Supreme, possibly face death?
Typically, only a Master of Chaos or a similarly paramount entity like the Supreme of Doomsday, who stood above all others, could slay a top-tier Supreme.
Did Lin Fei possess such strength?
Regardless of Nebula Supreme's disbelief and shock, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm was indeed bearing down in full force. A horrifying power struck Nebula Supreme directly.
With a resounding "boom," the next moment saw Nebula Supreme's body crushed to dust.
"What? Nebula Supreme is dead?"
"This Supreme, who became one with his realm, has he actually slain Nebula Supreme?"
"Nebula Supreme was a top-tier Supreme; only the likes of the Supreme of Doomsday are known to easily slay such beings."
"But he is not the Supreme of Doomsday. Could it be that a new force capable of rivaling the Supreme of Doomsday has arisen in the chaos?"
Many were shocked. They had come to the Anlan Realm to compete for the Chaos Pearl, knowing well that ultimately, only a top-tier Supreme could likely claim it. Yet, they had hoped to try their luck, for the Chaos Pearl was crucial for Supremes to advance further.
However, witnessing even a top-tier Supreme like Nebula Supreme slain without resistance sobered them significantly. They were starkly reminded of the vast gap between their own powers and those capable of such feats, almost beyond comprehension.
"Wait, Nebula Supreme isn't dead."
"True, Nebula Supreme has not perished; his physical form has merely been annihilated. It is exceedingly difficult to utterly destroy a top-tier Supreme."
"Nebula Supreme still remains within his adversary's realm."
For a moment, several Supremes discerned the truth of the matter. Nebula Supreme had not died. Naturally, Lin Fei was aware of this as well. If other Supremes could see it, how could Lin Fei not?
Nebula Supreme's survival skills were formidable. Although his physical form was obliterated, his particles endured—particles robust enough that even Lin Fei's Eternal Realm could not erase them in short order. Indeed, a top-tier Supreme!
Lin Fei, though immensely powerful, found it improbable to instantly annihilate a top-tier Supreme. Yet, he was not concerned. Having ensnared Nebula Supreme within his Eternal Realm, his foe's fate was virtually sealed. Even if not immediately fatal, prolonged exposure to the Eternal Realm's erosive forces would inevitably lead to Nebula Supreme's demise.
As time passed, Nebula Supreme would surely be worn away completely within the relentless confines of the Eternal Realm, powerless to alter his grim fate.
"Spare me..." A particle of Nebula Supreme weakly took on a humanoid form, pleading for mercy.
With a thought from Lin Fei, that form collapsed entirely. Lin Fei was uninterested in hearing Nebula Supreme's pleas. His stance was unyielding: execution. Conveniently, the essence of Nebula Supreme's being would nourish the Eternal Realm.
As for any rage or destructive attempts Nebula Supreme might unleash within the Eternal Realm, Lin Fei harbored no worries. He could suppress any rebellion effortlessly. This was Lin Fei's power—holding the Eternal Realm, he feared no Supreme.
The Clairvoyant Supreme's expression was complex. He knew Lin Fei was formidable, which was why he had enlisted his help in the Anlan Realm to compete for the Chaos Pearl.
However, even he had not anticipated the extent of Lin Fei's strength. Nebula Supreme, whom he could not subdue, was utterly powerless before Lin Fei, crushed and suppressed within moments inside the Eternal Realm. This outcome was beyond even the Clairvoyant Supreme's expectations.
Nevertheless, this was a fortuitous development. At least for the Clairvoyant Supreme, the stronger Lin Fei was, the greater his chances of securing the Chaos Pearl became. Only with a powerful Supreme like Lin Fei in command could all other Supremes be deterred.
Thus, the Clairvoyant Supreme sneered, "Who else wishes to enter the Anlan Realm? Feel free to enter, but remember, entering is easy; leaving is not."
His gaze swept across the area. Those Supremes who had previously been eager to try their luck now halted, their eyes complex as they looked towards the Anlan Realm and Lin Fei. They seemed wary, contemplative.
The Chaos Pearl was indeed valuable, but their own lives were even more so. With Lin Fei, a formidable being capable of slaying a top-tier Supreme, what were they in comparison?
By slaying Nebula Supreme, Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme had established their dominance. With the formation surrounding the Anlan Realm, no Supreme dared to object. Lin Fei had no plans to enter the Anlan Realm himself; instead, he waited quietly, adopting a 'wait-and-see' approach with the Clairvoyant Supreme.
This strategy was evidently approved by Lin Fei. Whoever obtained the Chaos Pearl would surely try to leave the Anlan Realm at the first opportunity, only to run into him and the Clairvoyant Supreme. Lin Fei's task was simple: to subdue anyone who attempted to leave.
Days passed—one, two, three, four, five...
The struggle for the Chaos Pearl was evidently fierce. Almost ten days flew by, and surprisingly, not a single Supreme had left the Anlan Realm. They were all immersed in the battle for the Chaos Pearl.
Given that there were at least dozens of Supremes within the realm, including several top-tier ones, the absence of any departures indicated that the Chaos Pearl was still within the Anlan Realm.
Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme were patient. No one leaving meant the Chaos Pearl was still up for grabs. This was a good thing. They simply continued to wait.
However, after ten days, someone within the Anlan Realm could no longer restrain themselves. A Supreme attempted to leave the Anlan Realm but immediately collided with the formation set by the Clairvoyant Supreme.
"What is this?" The bewildered Supreme was unaware of the events transpiring outside.
"Ah? Someone has come out!" The Clairvoyant Supreme's spirit stirred. Finally, after ten days, someone had emerged. With so many Supremes inside, it took ten days for one to attempt an exit. Could it be that this Supreme, possibly in possession of the Chaos Pearl, was trying to make a stealthy escape?
This Supreme appeared to be an ordinary one, but who could say for certain that only a top-tier Supreme could secure the Chaos Pearl? It was not a given!
The Clairvoyant Supreme approached, his tone even, "The vicinity of the Anlan Realm has been sealed by us. If you wish to leave, hand over the Chaos Pearl. Or, we shall destroy your physical body to thoroughly check if you are concealing the Chaos Pearl. Only after our meticulous inspection and confirmation that you do not possess the Chaos Pearl will you be permitted to leave."
These words incensed the Supreme, who scoffed in response, "Well, well, I didn't expect to encounter such domineering behavior. Choosing not to compete within the Anlan Realm for the Chaos Pearl, but instead to lie in wait outside. Hmph, I intend to leave, and no one can stop me!"
With a rage-fueled laugh, the Supreme's figure flickered slightly, indicating the use of some unique technique. In the next moment, he transformed into a streak of light, preparing to burst through the formation.
676. The Chaos Pearl Finally Appears
With a thunderous crash, the Supreme, still reeling and not fully aware, felt an overwhelming force descend upon him. Instantly, he was obliterated.
Lin Fei's expression remained impassive. He simply swept him up with the eternal light and then unleashed the power of the Eternal Realm. For Lin Fei, dispatching a top-tier Supreme was trivial, not to mention an ordinary one.
Dead.
The Supreme was annihilated in full view of all. His life force was completely extinguished.
"It seems he didn't have the Chaos Pearl," Lin Fei stated indifferently. If the Supreme had possessed it, it would have appeared when he was destroyed. But now, no Chaos Pearl emerged. Most likely, this Supreme hadn't obtained it and merely wished to leave the Anlan Realm.
However, he was unaware of how difficult it was now to leave the Anlan Realm. Attempting to leave forcibly had its consequences, and now his demise was just that—a consequence of his rash action.
For a moment, many Supremes fell utterly silent, daring not to speak. In their eyes, Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme were exceedingly ruthless. A Supreme was dispatched without a second thought or any mercy.
Moreover, they were indeed capable of slaying Supremes, even those at the top tier. Such beings, capable of executing other Supremes, hung like a threatening arrow over the heads of all within the Anlan Realm.
The Clairvoyant Supreme nodded and commented, "It is indeed a pity he did not have the Chaos Pearl. It seems he knew he could not compete for the Chaos Pearl and thus chose to leave the Anlan Realm early. However, he was restless, ignoring our warnings and needlessly lost his life."
The Clairvoyant Supreme felt no regret. Another Supreme had perished, but he had slain more than one before. And he was well aware that this Supreme would not be the last to attempt an escape from the Anlan Realm. Drastic measures were necessary; otherwise, they might not be able to stop the many more who might try.
As time passed, more Supremes indeed attempted to leave the Anlan Realm, only to encounter the blockade enforced by the Clairvoyant Supreme and Lin Fei. Those who tried to forcefully escape were promptly slain by Lin Fei's decisive actions. Of course, some Supremes managed to retreat back into the Anlan Realm.
Inside the Anlan Realm, the battle for the Chaos Pearl reached its most intense point.
"Squid Supreme, hand over the Chaos Pearl," demanded one.
"Indeed, Squid Supreme, the Chaos Pearl is beyond your reach," another echoed.
"If you do not surrender it, even as a top-tier Supreme, you are in grave danger."
Within the void of the Anlan Realm, more than ten top-tier Supremes had surrounded Squid Supreme. The reason was simple: the Chaos Pearl had fallen into Squid Supreme's hands.
Squid Supreme glanced around at the dozen Supremes encircling him and even peered into the void where, evidently, more Supremes were lurking.
Although the Chaos Pearl was in his possession, under such circumstances, he could not secure it. However, Squid Supreme had recently learned something intriguing. He suddenly smiled and slowly spoke, "Here we are, fighting to the death, unaware that we've been sealed off in the chaos; the entire Anlan Realm is under blockade.
Some are lying in wait, ready to kill anyone who leaves the Anlan Realm. In the end, no matter who claims the Chaos Pearl, escape is unlikely. Whoever holds it might eventually die, and the Chaos Pearl will likely fall into other hands."
Do you want the Chaos Pearl? Very well, let's take this battle into the chaos itself. Let the victor claim the pearl on merit. But let's not slaughter each other here, only to have outsiders benefit from our loss. What do you think?"
Squid Supreme was determined to take a chance. Fighting to the death within the Anlan Realm was pointless if it only benefited others. If they moved the battle into the chaos, he was prepared to pay any price and perhaps there would still be hope to escape with the Chaos Pearl.
Thus, he proposed that they unite to break through the forces lying in wait outside the Anlan Realm. After all, the rumors had spread: the Supremes lying in wait were formidable, even capable of slaying top-tier Supremes like Nebula Supreme.
These Supremes, questioning their own strength, acknowledged they were not significantly stronger than Nebula Supreme, and some even considered themselves weaker. Nebula Supreme had fallen; what chance would they have if faced alone? Likely, they would fare no better than him. At this moment, these Supremes truly wavered.
They were all too aware of the proverb: when the snipe and the clam grapple, it is the fisherman who reap the benefits. Now, they were the snipe and the clam, and the Supremes waiting outside the Anlan Realm were the fishermen. No one wanted their hard-earned Chaos Pearl to end up benefiting someone else.
"Heh, Squid Supreme, you still wish to struggle," taunted one. "Once back in the chaos, who knows what tricks you might have up your sleeve? What if you escape? The vastness of the chaos is unfathomable. Who could find you there?
"I think it's best if you hand over the Chaos Pearl right here. Without the Chaos Pearl, if you still want to fight those outside the Anlan Realm to the death, we won't stop you." Another Supreme spoke up, thwarting Squid Supreme's wishes.
"Short-sighted fools!" Squid Supreme sneered back. "Even if I gave you the Chaos Pearl, could you truly protect it?"
He found these Supremes to be obstinately foolish. They knew the dangers within the chaos, yet they clung to the Chaos Pearl with desperation.
Of course, Squid Supreme was no different. He too knew the perils of the chaos yet still clung to the Chaos Pearl, unwilling to relinquish it.
"Squid Supreme, all this talk is useless," another insisted. "Hand over the Chaos Pearl!"
The Supremes began to close in on Squid Supreme step by step.
"Damn you, you're forcing my hand!" Squid Supreme's eyes flashed coldly. He still had a trump card he had not played, a last resort he was reluctant to use unless absolutely necessary. Once revealed, he would be left without any ace up his sleeve, which was exceedingly risky, especially under the current circumstances.
Outside the Anlan Realm, Supremes continued to lie in wait. Without a trump card, Squid Supreme was uncertain if he could break through the blockade enforced by those Supremes.
But now, desperate times called for desperate measures. If he didn't play his ace, he wouldn't even get past this challenge, let alone preserve the Chaos Pearl for the future.
"Annihilation Void!"
With gritted teeth, Squid Supreme unleashed a dark object. As soon as it appeared, it formed a pitch-black void, emanating a sinister and terrifying aura. The moment this void materialized, the fabric of the Anlan Realm's space began to collapse.
With a thunderous rumble, the void imploded. Caught off guard, the Supremes felt a chilling stiffness, as if the dark void was pulling them in, attempting to devour all present.
However, Squid Supreme seemed prepared. Unlike the others, he wasn't drawn toward the black hole. Instead, he transformed into a streak of light, darting toward the chaos, making his escape from the Anlan Realm.
As this scene unfolded, the other Supremes realized what was happening. Squid Supreme was trying to flee!
"Damn it, that's an Annihilation Void! It can obliterate realms!" one exclaimed.
"An Annihilation Void can collapse a realm, eventually consuming it and forming a terrifying black hole that devours everything around," another explained.
"How did Squid Supreme get his hands on an Annihilation Void?" someone wondered.
"We can't let the Annihilation Void consume us. Fortunately, this is just the nascent form of the void; we can still escape."
"Chase after Squid Supreme!"
With that, the Supremes quickly overcame their initial shock and sprang into action. They freed themselves from the grasp of the Annihilation Void and similarly flew out of the Anlan Realm, pursuing Squid Supreme.
677. Capture Squid Supreme
In the Chaos, Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme were keeping a close watch on the Anlan Realm.
Suddenly, the realm began to shake violently. Lin Fei saw a small black dot forming within the Anlan Realm, which was rapidly expanding and emitting a destructive aura.
"What is this?" Lin Fei furrowed his brow in confusion.
Many Supremes had also witnessed this scene. They were all closely monitoring the Anlan Realm, ready to notice any change that might occur.
The Clairvoyant Supreme was puzzled at first, but as he focused his senses on the black dot, a realization struck him. His expression drastically changed as he exclaimed, "No good, that's an Annihilation Void!"
"Someone has unleashed an Annihilation Void in the Anlan Realm. Once the Annihilation Void matures, it will devour the entire realm and transform into a chaotic black hole, consuming everything! Damn it, how could someone release an Annihilation Void?"
Hearing the Clairvoyant Supreme's words, many Supremes immediately showed signs of alarm. Annihilation Voids and chaos black holes were infamously dangerous. Especially the chaos black hole, which is an advanced form of the Annihilation Void.
Once it has devoured enough matter, particularly after consuming numerous realms, the Annihilation Void transforms into a chaotic black hole. By then, even top-tier Supremes could be effortlessly swallowed by it, showcasing the terrifying nature of chaotic black holes.
Aware of the chaos black hole's dreadful potential, many Supremes disregarded the Chaos Pearl and fled immediately. The Clairvoyant Supreme's expression turned grim as he glanced at Lin Fei, but Lin Fei appeared surprisingly calm, seemingly unconcerned about the Annihilation Void.
The Clairvoyant Supreme couldn't help but express his concern to Lin Fei, "Supreme Lin, chaos black holes are extraordinary, and even top-tier Supremes struggle against them. Any Supreme swallowed by a chaotic black hole has never returned. Should we not prepare early? Do we continue waiting here, or should we leave to avoid being affected by the chaotic black hole?"
Lin Fei, without lifting his gaze from the Anlan Realm, responded slowly, "The transformation of an Annihilation Void into a chaos black hole is almost universally known. So, who released the Annihilation Void? And what is the purpose? Is it merely to destroy the Anlan Realm? But what would be the point of destroying the realm, especially now when the Chaos Pearl is being contested?"
"Unless," Lin Fei continued, his voice steady, "the person who released the Annihilation Void intended to create chaos or tension to facilitate their escape from the Anlan Realm. So, who would need to flee the Anlan Realm urgently?"
Lin Fei maintained his composure, even managing to analyze the intricacies of the situation amidst the crisis. The Clairvoyant Supreme was momentarily taken aback but quickly grasped Lin Fei's implication.
"Supreme Lin, are you suggesting that someone has obtained the Chaos Pearl and is trying to flee the Anlan Realm by unleashing the Annihilation Void?"
"Most likely," Lin Fei affirmed. "It won't be long before someone attempts to leave the Anlan Realm. By then, we'll know exactly what's happening."
Seeing Lin Fei so composed, the Clairvoyant Supreme also calmed down. His primary goal was still the Chaos Pearl. How could he be content without securing it? Moreover, the Anlan Realm hadn't collapsed yet, and it would take some time before the Annihilation Void fully transformed into a chaotic black hole. They still had a chance.
"Alright, then we wait!" declared the Clairvoyant Supreme, resolving firmly. "Let's see who dares to challenge our formation."
As time ticked by, some chaos seemed to stir within the Anlan Realm, yet no one had yet dared to breach Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme's defensive setup. Lin Fei was not in a hurry. He had all the time he needed.
On the contrary, it was the Supremes within the Anlan Realm who should be worried. If the chaos black hole were to spread, it would devour the Anlan Realm first, and no one could escape.
As the streak of light dashed through, the Clairvoyant Supreme's body jolted with adrenaline. He spotted the radiant trail escaping from the Anlan Realm, blatantly ignoring the defensive formations set up by himself and Lin Fei. The figure tried to break directly through the barriers and leave the area.
"Stop!" the Clairvoyant Supreme commanded as he thrust forward with a punch, channeling his full force into a ferocious blow aimed at the escaping streak of light. His intention wasn't to cause harm but merely to halt the escapee.
However, the streak of light accelerated even further.
"Boom!"
The light clashed head-on with the Clairvoyant Supreme's punch but shockingly, it didn't stop; it continued its flight towards the deeper chaos of the void. The Clairvoyant Supreme's punch had failed to even slow it down.
"Top-tier Supreme! It must be a top-tier Supreme!" The Clairvoyant Supreme felt a sinking feeling in his heart. This individual was even stronger than Nebula Supreme; otherwise, his all-out punch would have at least slowed the escapee down.
Though it seemed the figure was about to escape, the Clairvoyant Supreme wasn't worried because he knew Lin Fei was still there.
Lin Fei's still presence meant escape was unlikely.
At this moment, Squid Supreme was exultant. He had risked everything to break out of the Anlan Realm. Despite facing opposition from a top-tier Supreme, he didn't hesitate and managed to escape successfully. He had suffered significant losses, but ultimately, he had broken free.
"It seems the rumors of Supremes lying in wait outside the Anlan Realm are true," Squid Supreme thought to himself. "But the rumors of their strength, capable of slaying top-tier Supremes, seem exaggerated."
"Hmph, once I escape and fully harness the Chaos Pearl, I'll be one step closer to becoming a Master of Chaos," he pondered ambitiously. "Even if I don't reach that level, I should at least attain the status of a Doomsday Supreme..."
As Squid Supreme reveled in the thrill of his escape, his thoughts were already turning towards the future — how he would cultivate with the Chaos Pearl, and whether he might even ascend to become a Master of Chaos.
The current situation in the Anlan Realm, along with the Clairvoyant Supreme and others, no longer mattered to him. He was fast, incredibly fast. Once he broke out of the encirclement, catching him would be an impossible task for any other Supreme.
However, just as Squid Supreme was swept up in his triumph, a sudden vibration changed everything. The sky around him darkened abruptly. A beam of light, swift and overpowering, enveloped him before he could react.
Rendered helpless, Squid Supreme felt his body distort and in an instant, he found himself transported to an unfamiliar void. This was no longer the chaos — that much was clear to him.
"This isn't the Chaos? Where am I? How did I get here?" Squid Supreme's mind raced, a sense of foreboding tightening his chest.
"Surrender the Chaos Pearl, and you may be spared," a voice echoed around him. Then, he 'saw' two figures. No, it was Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme! Lin Fei had deliberately allowed Squid Supreme to see both of them, making it clear to him just how precarious his situation was.
"You... you're the Supremes who were lying in wait outside the Anlan Realm?" Squid Supreme stammered disbelief etched across his features. "Didn't I break through your blockade? And your formation, how am I still caught by you?"
Squid Supreme could hardly believe his eyes. He had expended every resource at his disposal, yet he had failed to escape?
678. The Chaos Pearl Secured, Supreme Assault
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh."
At that moment, numerous Supremes burst forth from the Anlan Realm, immediately seeking the figure of Squid Supreme. However, they found no trace of him.
"What's going on? Where is Squid Supreme?" they questioned. "Even if he is exceedingly fast, he couldn't have vanished this swiftly."
"It's impossible for him to disappear without a trace so suddenly; there must be some mischief at play."
"I saw it myself; Squid Supreme was hindered by a formation and was subdued by those two Supremes."
"Indeed, a flash of light and Squid Supreme was gone. It must be connected to those two."
"Hand over Squid Supreme! Do you really think you two alone can monopolize the Chaos Pearl he possesses?"
In no time, these Supremes swiftly converged around Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme. The two exchanged glances, not out of fear but with a sense of unexpected joy.
"What did you say? The Chaos Pearl is with Squid Supreme, who just fled the Anlan Realm? Ha ha ha, Supreme Lin, fortune truly favors us without effort!" the Clairvoyant Supreme exclaimed ecstatically.
Initially, their intent was merely to not let any Supreme escaping from the Anlan Realm go unchecked. Whether or not there was a Chaos Pearl was unknown to both Lin Fei and the Clairvoyant Supreme. It was purely their determination to capture any escaping Supreme that had led them to apprehend Squid Supreme.
To their surprise, Squid Supreme actually possessed the Chaos Pearl, and fortunately, they had acted to subdue him. Otherwise, had Squid Supreme managed to escape, all their prolonged efforts and sacrifices would have been in vain.
Fortunately, Squid Supreme was suppressed by Lin Fei. Nonetheless, despite what others claimed, Lin Fei could not wholly trust them. He needed to completely eradicate Squid Supreme to ascertain whether he indeed carried the Chaos Pearl.
And now the moment was nearly upon them. Squid Supreme was relentlessly oppressed and eroded within Lin Fei's Eternal Realm.
With a final "pfft," the last particle of Squid Supreme was obliterated.
Squid Supreme's screams echoed, yet within the Eternal Realm, Lin Fei commanded everything. Unknown to all, Squid Supreme had only just perished; most assumed he had died earlier.
"Squid Supreme is dead!" Lin Fei communicated telepathically to Clairvoyant Supreme.
Clairvoyant Supreme, stirred by the news, quickly replied, "Does Squid Supreme indeed possess the Chaos Pearl?"
"The Chaos Pearl?" Lin Fei turned his attention back to the Eternal Realm. He didn't need to look; everything within the Eternal Realm was perceptible to him.
After the last particle of Squid Supreme was obliterated, indeed, a pearl the size of an infant's fist emerged from the remains. The Chaos Pearl—undoubtedly.
This pearl, Lin Fei pondered, as the power of the Eternal Realm reached out to probe it. Yet, it was in vain. The pearl was integral, impervious even to the might of Lin Fei's Eternal Realm. It seemed indissoluble and indestructible.
"Clairvoyant Supreme, we should have the Chaos Pearl now," Lin Fei conveyed. "It is time to depart."
Clairvoyant Supreme's heart surged with elation; they had indeed secured the Chaos Pearl, a windfall by any measure. Considering how briefly they had been in the Anlan Realm, acquiring the Chaos Pearl so swiftly was nothing short of miraculous. However, their situation was still precarious.
Looking around, the eyes of the surrounding Supremes were fixed on Lin Fei, convinced that he had slain Squid Supreme and seized the Chaos Pearl. These Supremes would not let Lin Fei and Clairvoyant Supreme leave easily.
"What now, reluctant to hand over the Chaos Pearl?" they taunted. "Or perhaps you are pondering how to escape?"
Impatience was beginning to show among the gathered Supremes. Surrounded by so many, Squid Supreme had no choice but to flee in disarray. Even if Lin Fei and Clairvoyant Supreme were both top-tier Supremes, what of it?
"Flee?" Lin Fei chuckled coldly. "When did I ever say I would flee? The Chaos Pearl is on my person. Yet, you cannot have it! If I choose to leave, none can stop me. Whoever dares to obstruct me shall meet their end!"
His tone was icy, devoid of hysteria, exuding a calm that instilled fear in others. Such composure in a person who has not lost his sanity, especially one who is a top-tier Supreme, was truly formidable. Dealing with someone like that was not easy.
Yet, Lin Fei's domineering stance ignited the fury of many Supremes around him. After all, there were several top-tier Supremes among them, each a formidable force in their own right. Were they to fear Lin Fei?
"Very well, I would see for myself what ability you possess to slay me," sneered one of the top-tier Supremes as he stepped forward. With each step, a palpable force seemed to emanate from him—a gravitational force!
Yes, gravity! It was as if a field of intense gravity surrounded him. Anyone within this Supreme's reach would feel the overwhelming pressure of this gravitational force, which, at the level of a Supreme, was terrifying.
"Hum."
Even Lin Fei initially felt the substantial pressure, a testament to the strength of the gravitational force. However, that was all it amounted to. In terms of gravity, Lin Fei might not compare, but mere gravity counted for little. Lin Fei's Eternal Realm was not limited to just gravitational forces.
"Eternal Light!"
With a mere thought from Lin Fei, the Eternal Light sprang into existence, enveloping the area in an instant. Before the astonished eyes of those present, the Supreme, known as Grey Domain Supreme, found himself caught within its relentless grasp without a shred of resistance.
In the blink of an eye, enveloped by the luminous energy, Grey Domain Supreme vanished, pulled into the depths of the Eternal Realm. Murmurs of confusion and alarm echoed amongst the onlookers.
"What happened?"
"How did Grey Domain Supreme, a top-tier Supreme, just disappear like that?"
"Could it be that light again?"
All eyes turned to Lin Fei's Eternal Light, recognizing its extraordinary nature. Whatever or whoever it touched seemed to vanish without a trace, swept away into the Eternal Realm where they were beyond the reach of others, completely at Lin Fei's mercy.
"This place is…" Grey Domain Supreme, now inside the Eternal Realm, looked around in astonishment. He realized he was in a world—a unique and magical world capable of restraining even a top-tier Supreme like himself.
"Break free!" he commanded, unleashing the full force of his gravitational power. A halo of gravity radiated outwards, a formidable force that could destabilize the very fabric of any realm's space.
Such terrifying gravity could cause the collapse of the void in any domain, could Lin Fei's realm withstand it?
As expected, the realm shook under the immense force of Grey Domain Supreme's gravity, the void beginning to crumble. But this was merely a fleeting disturbance within the Eternal Realm.
The collapsed space quickly restored itself, and instead, increasing layers of pressure descended upon Grey Domain Supreme, a burden so great that it threatened to crush him entirely.
"This can't be... This is impossible…" Grey Domain Supreme's screams of despair echoed throughout the Eternal Realm, his voice filled with disbelief and terror as the relentless pressure seemed to promise his imminent demise.
679. Massive Chaotic Behemoths
Dead.
Grey Domain Supreme had perished just like that. A top-tier Supreme, utterly devoid of any resistance, was eradicated within mere moments by Lin Fei in the Eternal Realm—a definitive and irrevocable fall. His cultivation was obliterated, and his dao and essence dissipated into nothingness.
A chill ran through the many Supremes present, deterring them from advancing further. The cautionary tale of Grey Domain Supreme was vivid before their eyes—who would dare provoke Lin Fei and Clairvoyant Supreme now?
Clairvoyant Supreme himself felt a shiver of apprehension. Lin Fei's strength far exceeded his expectations. He had thought acquiring the Chaos Pearl would be arduous and maintaining it against the backlash of other Supremes could be even more challenging. Success might have relied partly on luck. However, the ordeal had been unexpectedly "simple"—but was it truly simple?
Clairvoyant Supreme knew better; it was anything but simple. Without Lin Fei's formidable power, securing the Chaos Pearl would have been a daunting task, let alone escaping the clutches of other Supremes.
After slaying Grey Domain Supreme, Lin Fei looked up, his gaze sweeping across the crowd as he spoke calmly, "Who else?"
His tone was steady, his voice not particularly loud. Yet, as his words echoed, a hushed silence fell over the multitude of Supremes. The once bubbling whispers ceased abruptly with the fall of Grey Domain Supreme.
Many Supremes looked towards Lin Fei with eyes full of wariness. If Lin Fei had merely defeated Grey Domain Supreme, they might not have been so frightened, so utterly still.
But Lin Fei hadn't just defeated him; he had dominated and decimated him without allowing any form of retaliation—a prowess that starkly surpassed many of the Supremes by not just one but several degrees.
How could they possibly dare to obstruct Lin Fei now? Even the allure of the Chaos Pearl was tempered by the reality of inadequate strength.
"If there are no objections, we shall take our leave," Lin Fei declared, his voice devoid of any real desire to annihilate all the assembled Supremes.
Given the extensive implications involving so many powerful beings, Lin Fei was not inclined to make unnecessary enemies. This venture had been merely to assist Clairvoyant Supreme in acquiring the Chaos Pearl.
High visibility could certainly serve as a deterrent to others, but to truly antagonize so many Supremes would be unwarranted.
Thus, Lin Fei stepped forward, and in an instant, he and Clairvoyant Supreme transformed into two streaks of light, vanishing into the depths of chaos.
The remaining Supremes exchanged glances, their expressions complicated. They had competed fiercely for a long time and paid substantial prices, only to inadvertently pave the way for another's success.
Yet Lin Fei was just ahead, potentially within reach should they choose to pursue. But who would dare?
"Let it be," one murmured as the pursuit of the Chaos Pearl concluded. "This orb was not ours to claim."
"This man, Lin Fei—unbelievably, the Chaos has birthed another nearly invincible Supreme. Could he be another Doomsday Supreme?"
Expressions of wonder and resignation mingled among the crowd. A Doomsday Supreme stood almost unmatched among the Supremes, having slain countless top-tier ones and ranking just below the Master of Chaos.
Despite this title, Doomsday Supremes carried a flaw; no matter their efforts, they fell short of ascending to Master of Chaos, thus earning the moniker "Invincible Supreme"—a Supreme in name, unable to attain the pinnacle of chaos lordship.
Yet, this distinction mattered little to most; to them, an Invincible Supreme bore no practical difference from a Master of Chaos—both were equally untouchable.
"With one Doomsday Supreme already unsettling the balance of chaos, the emergence of another could be disruptive," another speculated with a sly chuckle. "I wonder how the Doomsday Supreme would react upon hearing of Lin Fei. Perhaps he is already aware..."
As the Supremes grappled with their mixed feelings, some harbored a lingering dissatisfaction despite recognizing their inferior tactics in the struggle for the Chaos Pearl.
Their inability to best Lin Fei in power didn't dampen their resolve completely; while they dared not confront Lin Fei directly, they saw no harm in nudging more capable entities into the fray—like the Doomsday Supreme.
They subtly fanned the flames of rivalry by spreading tales of Lin Fei's unmatched prowess, even drawing daring comparisons to the Doomsday Supreme, hoping it would provoke a reaction.
Back in Kunyu City, Lin Fei and Clairvoyant Supreme returned to the calm of Clairvoyant's residence.
"The Chaos Pearl," Lin Fei announced, extending his hand. Nestled in his palm lay a translucent orb, the size of an infant's fist, radiating a captivating light. The orb's allure was undeniable.
Clairvoyant Supreme's eyes ignited with desire as he gazed at the orb in Lin Fei's palm, his hand inching forward.
However, Lin Fei's sudden tightening grip on the orb halted Clairvoyant's advance. Raising his eyes to meet Lin Fei's steady gaze, Clairvoyant understood the unspoken message.
He retracted his hand, offering a smile, "Supreme Lin, you have secured the Chaos Pearl for me. As per our agreement, I owe you information on the Chaotic Behemoths, not just one but several. Yet, I must caution, the intelligence comes with certain risks."
Lin Fei remained silent, prompting Clairvoyant Supreme to realize that mere promises wouldn't suffice.
"The exact location is hard to pinpoint," Clairvoyant continued. "You'll understand once you accompany me there."
Resolved, Lin Fei and Clairvoyant Supreme embarked once again, departing from Kunyu City and voyaging deep into the chaotic void. The journey spanned farther and took longer than their prior venture to the Anlan Domain, lasting over two months.
"We're here," Clairvoyant Supreme finally declared, halting their flight. His gaze pierced into a peculiar stretch of the chaotic void ahead that appeared collapsed, not quite in disarray but rather forming a unique void, heavy with the essence of chaos.
It seemed like a realm, yet not entirely so. Within, Lin Fei sensed auras eerily familiar—Chaotic Behemoths, unmistakably, and not just one.
"What exactly is this place?" Lin Fei couldn't help but inquire, his eyes reflecting a keen intrigue.
Clairvoyant Supreme took a deep breath before explaining, "We all know that Chaotic Behemoths are not creatures of community. In fact, they hardly bear any semblance of amiability towards one another. Typically, encounters between two Chaotic Behemoths mean battle, often to the death."
"However, this place is different," he continued. "Here, numerous Chaotic Behemoths coexist peacefully, because this is the realm of the Chaotic Behemoth King—a creature even the Master of Chaos dare not provoke."
Hearing this, Lin Fei's expression shifted dramatically.
680. The King of Chaotic Behemoths
"The King of Chaotic Behemoths?" Lin Fei's eyes narrowed, a chill passing through them as he processed Clairvoyant Supreme's words. "Even the Lords of Chaos dare not provoke it, and you brought me here? This isn't just dangerous—it's a death sentence!"
His gaze hardened, carrying a faint glimmer of murderous intent. If Clairvoyant Supreme didn't provide a satisfactory explanation, Lin Fei was not about to hand over the Chaos Pearl. To Lin Fei, this seemed like a deceitful game of words, and he was not one to be trifled with.
Clairvoyant Supreme, noticing the killing intent in Lin Fei's eyes, quickly clarified, "Supreme Lin, you misunderstand. It's true that the King of Chaotic Behemoths resides here, but that doesn't mean there's no opportunity. If I proposed this trade, I must believe there's a chance to capture a Chaotic Behemoth.
The King has been slumbering for countless millennia and has not awoken in ages," Clairvoyant Supreme continued. "As long as we're not extraordinarily unlucky to wake it, there should be no issue. The real concern is whether we can withstand the Chaotic Behemoths themselves. There are not just one or two, but dozens! Even for a top-tier Supreme, it's uncertain whether they can withstand so many."
Reassured somewhat by Clairvoyant Supreme's words, Lin Fei nodded but remained cautious, his trust not easily won. Observing the surroundings, he maintained a vigilant guard.
He finally spoke, "I'll give you the Chaos Pearl. Clairvoyant Supreme, I hope all you've said is true." His tone was measured, devoid of overt threats. It was unnecessary—Clairvoyant Supreme knew full well the extent of Lin Fei's capabilities. Any deceit would spell his Doomsday, whether in Kunyu City or beyond.
Others might hesitate to act in Kunyu City, but Lin Fei was different. With a sweep of his Eternal Realm, all of Kunyu City fell silent, enveloped entirely by his formidable power.
At that moment, even if the Chaos Pearl was refined, unless one became the Master of Chaos, Clairvoyant Supreme would undoubtedly perish. Clairvoyant Supreme was not one to gamble with his life lightly.
Finally having secured the Chaos Pearl, he was exultant, and with a smile, he bade farewell: "Supreme Lin, I wish you all the best!" With those words, he transformed into a streak of light and departed the chaotic expanse.
"The King of Chaotic Behemoths..." Lin Fei muttered under his breath. Beyond the threat of the king, this place was indeed ideal for him. It teemed with Chaotic Behemoths, making it incredibly easy for Lin Fei to capture them without the need to wander far.
Moreover, the normally solitary Chaotic Behemoths were strangely cohabitating here—a clear sign of the slumbering King of Chaotic Behemoths' influence.
"Let's see if the King of Chaotic Behemoths truly sleeps," Lin Fei decided to test the waters. He wasn't about to plunge in recklessly. A hum resonated as Lin Fei detached a particle that took on his form. The avatar swiftly dived into the void that housed the Chaotic Behemoths.
In the next moment, the avatar twisted through dimensions and entered a bizarre new world. It wasn't exactly a world, but more a city reminiscent of Kunyu City—a city of Chaotic Behemoths.
"An alien life form?" came a voice, likely one of the behemoths. "A cultivator from the chaos, perhaps? Heh, the flesh of cultivators is quite the delicacy. Devour!"
As soon as Lin Fei's avatar entered the world of the Chaotic Behemoths, the ground seemed to spin. A monstrous maw, seemingly boundless, loomed before him and swallowed Lin Fei's particle avatar in one gulp, causing it to vanish without a trace.
"Hmm? Did my avatar just die?"
In the midst of chaos, Lin Fei witnessed everything his particle avatar had experienced. The world of Chaotic Behemoths proved perilous indeed; no sooner had he entered than he faced an assault. The behemoth recognized Lin Fei as a cultivator from Chaos. It devoured him without hesitation.
However, in that brief moment, Lin Fei had gleaned some understanding of the world of Chaotic Behemoths. He sensed no particularly dangerous entities or forces, even though he emitted an aura of chaos. There were no fearsome beings awakening or fixating on him—just a single ordinary Chaotic Behemoth.
For an ordinary Supreme, perhaps that Chaotic Behemoth would pose a significant threat, a slight misstep leading to being devoured. But Lin Fei was different. He welcomed more Chaotic Behemoths attacking, attempting to devour him—it would only allow his Eternal Realm to improve more.
"There may be only one chance here," Lin Fei contemplated. "Thus, I must seize as many Chaotic Behemoths as possible in this opportunity. Otherwise, if they become cautious or awaken the King of Chaotic Behemoths next time, it will become troublesome."
Lin Fei didn't plan to keep coming back here to hunt Chaotic Behemoths indefinitely. The King of Chaotic Behemoths, even in slumber, would eventually be roused by the Chaotic Behemoths.
Even if Lin Fei succeeded multiple times, a single failure in the presence of the awakened King would mean disaster, possibly even death. So, Lin Fei wouldn't take such a risk. He had this one precious opportunity and needed to make the most of it.
"Since that's the case..." Lin Fei hesitated no longer.
With a swift motion, he plunged into the world of Chaotic Behemoths. Inside, the behemoth that had just "enjoyed" his particle avatar's flavor seemed content, squinting its eyes in pleasure, still mumbling about the deliciousness of cultivators and yearning to devour more.
However, it quickly dismissed the idea of leaving, considering the King of Chaotic Behemoths and the rules of this place. This was a safe haven where it could rest and live without fear—everything here was regulated by the presence of the King of Chaotic Behemoths.
"Swoosh," another figure appeared before the behemoth.
"Is this... another chaos cultivator?" the behemoth paused in slight confusion, wondering how yet another cultivator had found this place.
"Eternal Light!" Lin Fei wasted no time. Upon spotting the behemoth, the Eternal Light burst forth from him, sweeping grandly toward the behemoth.
"Swish."
In an instant, the behemoth was enveloped and pulled into Lin Fei's Eternal Realm.
681. The Eternal Realm Confronts the Top-Tier Chaotic Behemoth!
"One has been subdued! Yet, it is insufficient."
Lin Fei did not slay the Chaotic Behemoth. He merely suppressed it using the power of the Eternal Realm.
After all, even if a Chaotic Behemoth could be felled by Lin Fei's Eternal Realm, such an act would require time.
Moreover, it demanded the full force of the Eternal Realm to execute. Now was not the moment for slaying Chaotic Behemoths. It was crucial to swiftly "capture" and "subdue" more Chaotic Behemoths.
This was paramount. Should he miss this opportunity, Lin Fei would need to traverse the Chaos in search of other Chaotic Behemoths.
Thus, he placed great importance on this chance. He must capitalize on this opportunity to secure enough Chaotic Behemoths.
One, two, or even three would not suffice. He needed more Chaotic Behemoths. Ideally, eight or ten.
After all, Lin Fei had only this one chance. He absolutely could not afford to waste it.
With determination, Lin Fei, in the next instant, shot towards the distance. He had sensed it. There were Chaotic Behemoths afar.
In this world, Chaotic Behemoths were almost ubiquitous, even far exceeding Lin Fei's expectations.
Previously, the Clairvoyant Supreme had mentioned there might be dozens of Chaotic Behemoths here. Dozens of Chaotic Behemoths were already considered an astronomical number. Especially within the Chaos where even encountering several was rare.
Yet, now Lin Fei realized it was not just dozens of Chaotic Behemoths. But hundreds, even thousands! This world was truly a realm of Chaotic Behemoths!
Lin Fei's heart surged with emotion. Yet, he was acutely aware this was his only chance. Thus, he absolutely could not squander this opportunity. But he must act swiftly.
Moreover, he could only afford to strike decisively. He absolutely could not afford any delay.
Soon, Lin Fei halted. Before him, five Chaotic Behemoths appeared. Yes, precisely five.
Upon seeing Lin Fei, these Chaotic Behemoths were momentarily startled. It seemed strange to them.
How could there be a cultivator of Chaos?
Without a moment's hesitation, Lin Fei acted. Even to prevent these Chaotic Behemoths from causing any great commotion, Lin Fei straightforwardly deployed the Illusory Realm, accompanied by the Eternal Light.
"Buzz."
The Illusory Realm descended. Instantly, the expressions of these Chaotic Behemoths shifted slightly, then became bewildered. Such was the effect of the Illusory Realm.
Able to intimidate a Supreme, let alone a Chaotic Behemoth?
It is known that in terms of will, a Chaotic Behemoth is somewhat inferior to a cultivator's Supreme.
Lin Fei's Illusory Realm, naturally, proved effective. Moreover, it was accompanied by the Eternal Light.
"Swoosh."
Subdued by the Illusory Realm, these Chaotic Behemoths had no power left to resist. Caught by Lin Fei's Eternal Light, they were swept straight into the Eternal Realm.
Five Chaotic Behemoths. Along with the previously subdued one, that made six Chaotic Behemoths. That was a full six!
"Continue!"
Yet, Lin Fei was still not satisfied. He continued to fly at great speed towards more Chaotic Behemoths.
However, the fluctuations from the Illusory Realm and those from the Eternal Realm eventually caused a certain disturbance.
An incomparably massive beast lay in a vast lake, seemingly bathing in the lake and thoroughly enjoying itself.
"Splash."
Suddenly, the Chaotic Behemoth raised its head.
"There is the scent of a cultivator of Chaos. And the speed is fast, showing no sign of departure. After so many years, has another cultivator of Chaos come? Since you've come and do not wish to leave, then stay forever."
"Boom."
Then, the Chaotic Behemoth rose. Its massive body flew out of the lake, turning instantly into a streak of light, disappearing without a trace.
At that moment, Lin Fei unleashed the Eternal Light. He recklessly swept up every Chaotic Behemoth he encountered into the Eternal Realm.
Moreover, Lin Fei's audacity grew ever larger. Fittingly, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm was itself immensely vast. Not just subduing a few Chaotic Behemoths and even subduing dozens, in truth, had little impact on the Eternal Realm.
Lin Fei had subdued several Chaotic Behemoths. It appeared to be a considerable number. Even the continuous effort seemed to have consumed much time.
But in reality, from the moment Lin Fei began to subdue the behemoths, to their suppression into the Eternal Realm was merely a matter of a few breaths. And now, Lin Fei was still subduing more.
Seven, eight, nine, ten...
However, these were merely ordinary Chaotic Behemoths.
Lin Fei had not encountered any of the top-tier Chaotic Behemoths. But Lin Fei could not force such encounters. He could not specifically seek out the top-tier Chaotic Behemoths. He could only take things as they came.
Whenever he saw any Chaotic Behemoth, Lin Fei would subdue it immediately.
"Hmm?"
It was uncertain how much time had passed. Suddenly, Lin Fei looked up. He had just subdued several Chaotic Behemoths. But suddenly, he felt an unprecedented pressure. It seemed perilous!
"Swish."
Lin Fei sensed it.
A Chaotic Behemoth. It was an incomparably massive behemoth, emitting a terrifying aura. Not the kind found in ordinary Chaotic Behemoths. But that of a top-tier Chaotic Behemoth. Even stronger than the typical top-tier ones!
However, Lin Fei did not flee immediately. He could sense that this Chaotic Behemoth was not the King of Chaotic Behemoths.
Moreover, if he could also subdue this Chaotic Behemoth, wouldn't it match the strength of at least six, or even ten Chaotic Behemoths?
Lin Fei could already feel his time was running out. This world had become aware of his presence. It would not allow him to keep subduing Chaotic Behemoths indefinitely.
Perhaps, this was his last chance to subdue a Chaotic Behemoth. So, if it could be this Chaotic Behemoth, that would be a boon.
"This is the last Chaotic Behemoth. Once subdued, I must leave immediately! And it's a top-tier Chaotic Behemoth, also an opportunity..."
Lin Fei murmured under his breath. In the next moment, he did not retreat but advanced.
"Boom."
Lin Fei instantly flew towards the Chaotic Behemoth.
"Ah?"
The top-tier Chaotic Behemoth, seeing Lin Fei charging at it, a flicker of surprise crossed its gaze.
"Cultivator from Chaos. You dare to bring turmoil to our world. This is not a place where you can run wild. Swallow!"
This Chaotic Behemoth regarded all beings with a haughty gaze, seemingly dismissing Lin Fei from consideration. Even though Lin Fei had already subdued numerous Chaotic Behemoths, the creature remained confident, a testament to the extraordinary nature of this Chaotic Behemoth.
"Buzz."
The next moment, the Chaotic Behemoth truly made its move. And it was terrifying right from the start.
The Chaotic Behemoth opened its massive maw, transforming, as if into a black hole, continuously attempting to swallow Lin Fei. The fearsome suction seemed intent on devouring Lin Fei completely.
Moreover, Lin Fei could clearly feel that he must not fly into the creature's mouth. Otherwise, he might die!
This intuition was crystal clear to Lin Fei. This was an extraordinary Chaotic Behemoth. Perhaps, its stomach was its strongest asset. Even though Lin Fei possessed the Eternal Realm, he dared not truly let himself be swallowed.
"Think to devour me? Then try to see if you can swallow the Eternal Realm itself. Eternal Realm, stay!"
A fierce light flashed in Lin Fei's eyes.
"Boom."
The next instant, Lin Fei transformed into the world. This time, it was not merely the Eternal Light. It was the Eternal Realm!
Lin Fei directly transformed into the Eternal Realm, the formidable Eternal Realm, sweeping majestically towards the Chaotic Behemoth.
682: Twenty-Eight Chaotic Behemoths!
"Boom."
With fierce determination, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm charged directly at the Chaotic Behemoth and struck it hard. The terrifying force rippled through the air in tiny waves.
"Thud."
A muffled sound echoed as the Chaotic Behemoth shuddered throughout its body. Then, its eyes filled with disbelief, it stared at Lin Fei.
"Capture!"
Without a second thought, the Eternal Realm struck fiercely and actually managed to repel the Chaotic Behemoth. Then, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm directly enveloped and drew the Chaotic Behemoth into itself.
"Rumble."
This Chaotic Behemoth was indeed extraordinary. Even when ensnared within the Eternal Realm, it could still struggle violently.
Lin Fei's Eternal Realm might not completely suppress it. But now, Lin Fei lacked the extra strength and time to suppress this top-tier Chaotic Behemoth.
He had to leave for Lin Fei faintly felt a tremor within his heart as if a profound sense of danger had suddenly arisen. This made Lin Fei think of a possibility.
The King of Chaotic Behemoths!
Perhaps, the battle Lin Fei had just fought with this top-tier Chaotic Behemoth had already awakened the King of Chaotic Behemoths. The King of Chaotic Behemoths was about to awake.
"Go!"
Without a second thought,
Lin Fei prepared to leave this world at once.
"Zoom."
In the next moment, Lin Fei turned into a streak of light. He had already flown out of this world and into the Chaos.
But in the Chaos, Lin Fei felt a new sense of peril. This threat loomed constantly over him as if a calamity could strike at any moment.
"Go."
Lin Fei dared not delay. Quickly turning into a streak of light, he flew towards Kunyu City.
...
Kunyu City.
When Lin Fei returned to Kunyu City, it was already two months later. His expression was calm.
Yet, during those two months, he dared not pause for a moment. The sense of danger that loomed in his mind persisted throughout. Only when Lin Fei entered Kunyu City did that feeling of danger finally vanish.
This confirmed that only within Kunyu City was Lin Fei truly safe. With the sense of danger that reached him no matter the distance, Lin Fei had a fair idea of the cause now.
The King of Chaotic Behemoths!
It must have been the King of Chaotic Behemoths that brought this obscure threat to Lin Fei. Otherwise, it was impossible that Lin Fei, after flying through the Chaos for about two months, would still feel endangered. Only the King of Chaotic Behemoths had such capability.
After all, the King of Chaotic Behemoths is said to rival even the Masters of Chaos. Even the Masters of Chaos would not dare provoke it lightly.
However, Kunyu City was different. It was under the watch of a Master of Chaos. Even the King of Chaotic Behemoths, upon reaching Kunyu City, could not harm Lin Fei. Thus, upon his return to Kunyu City, Lin Fei's sense of danger disappeared.
"Sigh..." Lin Fei breathed a sigh of relief. "I've finally returned."
Lin Fei had been under immense pressure on this journey. Fortunately, he had returned safely. And the gains were unimaginably great.
"Let me count just how many Chaotic Behemoths I've subdued?"
Lin Fei wanted to see how many he had actually subdued. After all, he did not know exactly how many Chaotic Behemoths he had subdued. He only vaguely remembered.
The number he had subdued was certainly not small. It might have exceeded twenty!
Thus, Lin Fei began to count the subdued Chaotic Behemoths.
One, three, five, eight, ten...
"Twenty-eight Chaotic Behemoths, I've subdued so many? And there's one top-tier Chaotic Behemoth, not just any foremost but something beyond..."
A sharp gleam flickered in Lin Fei's eyes.
A top-tier behemoth, at least equivalent to over six Chaotic Behemoths. Even comparable to ten Chaotic Behemoths. Subduing this one Chaotic Behemoth was an unexpected delight for Lin Fei.
Of course, this Chaotic Behemoth did not know how strong Lin Fei's Eternal Realm was. Even though it tried everything, it could not escape the Eternal Realm.
"Twenty-seven Chaotic Behemoths could increase my Eternal Realm cultivation progress by about 27%. Adding that one top-tier Chaotic Behemoth, I could increase my cultivation progress by about 6% to 10%. In the end, my Eternal Realm could even approach 50%!"
Lin Fei felt an immense surge of excitement within, approaching 50%.
Of course, this was assuming Lin Fei could truly integrate such an abundance of Chaotic Behemoth essence.
"Let's begin."
Lin Fei took a deep breath. He hesitated no longer.
"Boom."
The next moment, Lin Fei was fully focused. He concentrated all his attention, all his energy, and began to mobilize the power of the Eternal Realm. He methodically obliterated the Chaotic Behemoths.
"Thump, thump, thump."
One by one, the Chaotic Behemoths were obliterated by Lin Fei's Eternal Realm. And the essence of their flesh and blood began to nourish Lin Fei's Eternal Realm.
One day, two days, three days...
Now, Lin Fei had ample time to slowly "digest" the essence of these Chaotic Behemoths. And this essence was incredibly beneficial to the Eternal Realm.
Indeed, the Eternal Realm was almost constantly improving. Previously at only 11% cultivation progress. Now it was skyrocketing.
12%, 13%, 14%, 15%, 16%...
With each percentage increase in the Eternal Realm, Lin Fei's power surged tremendously.
A month later.
Lin Fei's Eternal Realm cultivation progress had jumped from 11% to 38%, a total increase of 27%. In Lin Fei's Eternal Realm, there remained only one Chaotic Behemoth. That was the extraordinary top-tier Chaotic Behemoth.
At this moment, within Lin Fei's Eternal Realm, Lin Fei watched the Chaotic Behemoth before him. The creature seemed to sense what it was about to face.
This top-tier Chaotic Behemoth could not help but speak, "Human cultivator, your widespread slaughter of Chaotic Behemoths might be overlooked elsewhere. But you have been capturing them in the City of Behemoths. Do you realize that you have committed a great taboo? The great King of Chaotic Behemoths will certainly not forgive you. No matter where you flee, the King of Chaotic Behemoths will remember your scent and will surely slay you!"
The tone of the top-tier Chaotic Behemoth was deep, filled with hatred.
"City of Behemoths? So, that place was the City of Behemoths. Perhaps, your King of Chaotic Behemoths might avenge you. But this is Kunyu City. Even the King of Chaotic Behemoths would not dare to run wild here. So, you are doomed not to see the King of Chaotic Behemoths slay me."
Lin Fei's gaze was icy.
The next moment, he hesitated no longer.
"Buzz."
The power of the Eternal Realm erupted fully. Majestically, it rolled towards the Chaotic Behemoth.
"Roar..."
The Chaotic Behemoth struggled violently. It was shaking intensely even causing the void to shatter. Of course, compared to before, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm was now many times stronger.
Previously, this top-tier Chaotic Behemoth might have destabilized Lin Fei's Eternal Realm. But now, it could only cause the void to collapse. It was merely wishful thinking to even shake the Eternal Realm. This showed the astonishingly rapid increase in the power of Lin Fei's Eternal Realm.
"Annihilate!"
Lin Fei uttered softly.
"Boom."
The next moment, the massive body of the top-tier Chaotic Behemoth, nearly exploded on cue, completely turned to dust!
The top-tier Chaotic Behemoth, just like that, died. Completely obliterated!
Meanwhile, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm was frantically absorbing the essence of the Chaotic Behemoth's flesh and blood. The Eternal Realm began its transformation anew!
683. The Supreme of Doomsday
Originally, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm cultivation progress had reached 38%. His estimation for the top-tier Chaotic Behemoth's essence was that it could boost his Eternal Realm's cultivation progress by about 6% to 10% at most.
But now, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm was continuously absorbing the essence of this top-tier Chaotic Behemoth. And the Eternal Realm was violently shaking.
It was expanding! And it was expanding rapidly. Moreover, the cultivation progress was also increasing wildly.
38%, 40%, 42%, 45%, 48%...
Finally, Lin Fei's Eternal Realm jolted fiercely. The vast Eternal Realm seemed to have undergone a transformation.
From the inside out, everything had transformed. Especially the divine demons within the Eternal Realm. They all seemed to have grown stronger, albeit subtly.
"System."
Lin Fei checked the changes in the Eternal Realm immediately.
Host: Lin Fei
Martial Realm: Martial Ancestor
World Level: True Immortal Level (Progress 51%)
Illusory Realm: Supreme Level
Lin Fei saw that the system indicated his world level had now reached 51%. This was over 50%, no wonder there was a transformation!
Lin Fei was well aware of how staggeringly strong he was now. Although his system's displayed realm was still Martial Ancestor, Lin Fei did not truly believe he was just a Martial Ancestor.
Lin Fei had long been on par with a top-tier Supreme. He could even slay a top-tier Supreme. He was clear on that once his Eternal Realm cultivation progress reached 100%, he could transform into the Chaos Realm.
At that time, Lin Fei's realm might become Supreme. But his strength would probably not be inferior to that of a Master of Chaos. He might even rival a true Master of Chaos!
After all, to truly, fully control a Chaos Realm, and to be able to exert one hundred percent of the Chaos Realm's power, was no small feat. Lin Fei was no ordinary Martial Ancestor, and once transformed, he naturally would not be an ordinary Supreme.
"The Eternal Realm has transformed again. My cultivation progress has reached 51%. So, how strong am I now? Perhaps, not comparable to a Master of Chaos. But on the Supreme level, there should be no one who can match me. Perhaps, only the Doomsday Supreme might stand a slight chance against me."
Lin Fei muttered softly, a sharp gleam flickering in his eyes. The Doomsday Supreme, after all, is not just any Supreme. It was even called the Invincible Supreme! Just below a Master of Chaos.
Even in the eyes of other Supremes, there's hardly a difference between the Doomsday Supreme and a Master of Chaos. This shows the immense power of the Doomsday Supreme.
Lin Fei had never met the Doomsday Supreme. But previously, Lin Fei could slay a top-tier Supreme. Now, with his Eternal Realm transformed again, Lin Fei felt he should also be considered an Invincible Supreme.
Could an Invincible Supreme destroy a Chaos Realm?
Lin Fei wasn't sure. But if he could destroy a Chaos Realm, then the Dark Demon Lord wouldn't be much of a threat.
Lin Fei calculated carefully.
Actually, he had been back in the Chaos for almost a year now. After all, traveling from the Divine Realm, the round trip would take about two years. He could only stay in the Chaos for one year.
Now the time was almost up. At most, he had two to three months left. When the time comes, to return to the Divine Realm to confront the Dark Demon Lord, he would know if his current strength could resolve the Dark Demon Lord.
With just a few months left, Lin Fei naturally was not in a rush. If he could completely transform the Eternal Realm into the Chaos Realm, his chances would be even greater.
But that would require many Chaotic Behemoths. And the City of Behemoths. Lin Fei now absolutely dared not go there. Even the Chaos itself, Lin Fei dared not venture out at will.
Who knows if the King of Chaotic Behemoths would keep an eye on Lin Fei? It's safest in Kunyu City.
Moreover, to obtain flesh essence, it wasn't necessary for Lin Fei to personally obtain the essence. He could also trade! Both parties, each taking what they need!
Lin Fei felt, with his current strength, he was powerful enough to have more Supremes bring him a significant amount of essence.
Thus, Lin Fei went to the task hall. The task hall was bustling with activity. Many people were moving through the hall, mostly Supremes. Only Supremes could venture in the Chaos, they naturally would post or take on many missions.
This was really just a form of mutual trade. Only in Kunyu City, strangers would feel secure enough to post missions and trade with one another. However, inside the task hall, Lin Fei saw many missions concerning Chaos Pearls.
"Snatching Chaos Pearls can be traded with anything."
"Reward offered for Chaos Pearls in the possession of the Clairvoyant Supreme. No matter the method, as long as you can obtain a Chaos Pearl, any exchange is acceptable."
"Clairvoyant Supreme, Supreme Lin Fei, they took away the Chaos Pearls..."
Not only were there missions, but many Supremes within the task hall were discussing, and their discussions were all about Chaos Pearls.
"The Chaos Pearl, who would have thought the Clairvoyant Supreme would get it."
"The Clairvoyant Supreme has been planning for so long, it's only natural he obtained the Chaos Pearl."
"Natural? The Clairvoyant Supreme only set up a warning formation outside the Tranquil Domain, without Supreme Lin Fei, could the Clairvoyant Supreme ever have obtained the Chaos Pearl?"
"Indeed, that mysterious Supreme Lin Fei, he's the key."
"It's said that Supreme Lin Fei can slay the top-tier Supremes. He brutally killed several top Supremes to snatch the Chaos Pearl..."
"Yes, Supreme Lin Fei didn't just get lucky obtaining the Chaos Pearl. It was with supreme strength, sweeping away the invincible, that he obtained it."
"This Supreme Lin Fei, he might just be another Doomsday Supreme."
"It's said that the Doomsday Supreme has also returned to Kunyu City, reportedly for the Chaos Pearl..."
At this time, many Supremes were abuzz with discussion. The information about "Supreme Lin Fei" was everywhere.
Yet, oddly, Lin Fei was standing right in front of these Supremes. But they were indifferent. They simply didn't recognize Lin Fei. It was just some rumors, after all. The number of people who had actually seen Lin Fei, who knew him, was very few.
Lin Fei remained unfazed. Clearly, the Chaos Pearl was very important. The Clairvoyant Supreme obtaining the Chaos Pearl had quickly spread throughout the entire Chaos. Even Lin Fei's fame had echoed throughout the Chaos. Crucially, a single Chaos Pearl had even attracted the Doomsday Supreme.
"Doomsday Supreme..."
Lin Fei muttered under his breath, a flicker of something unusual in his eyes. He had heard about the Doomsday Supreme many times. Many referred to the Doomsday Supreme as the Invincible Supreme. Even Lin Fei was interested in meeting the Doomsday Supreme properly.
...
