Great chapter! Gonna be an excruciating wait for the next! Wasn’t sure about the tense use here: Her friendship with Lori came first. She’d never make a move on Arthur while he was still dating Lori.  I’d have expected: Her friendship with Lori had come first. She’d never have made a move on Arthur while he was still dating Lori.
