I realeased this model a moment ago and it was a complete mistake, this modeled was commissioned 6 months ago as private one and I completely forgot it was a private commission, so I released it,

the client contacted me explaining his anger which I completely understand and I have nothing to justify my self, releasing a statment will change nothing at this point since the business he is running is based on private and exclusive models .

The model is taken downnow and I would kindly ask those who already got it which are only few of you to keep it private and to not share it anywhere, I will take responsiblity to make up another model,

the client was fully refunded but this is not where the problem resides.

I apologize sincerely and this will remind me to stay vigilant now on matters likes this

If he got a full refund, it should be good to just leave it shouldnt it? At that point he is better than he started and you did work for free, your model now

Kauzer

I think that if the person has been refunded, then leave the model public for the rest.

This raises questions. 1. How many downloaded it? 2. Client got a refund and still has the model right? Win win for them. 3. I would publish it. Mistake has been made, so I mean you made good on the refund (which I would not have done). So what if like 10 other people can print it? I doubt they are buying from that guy...

Thom Hurley

its a great model too...if you got it, i guess you got it now.

Chris

Admittedly I'm pretty jealous of those who got it-- makes me wish I would have checked my email sooner.

Theres another one by anyonensfw of almost the same pose but a bit prettier than sexy

Cozysocks

Hopefully it was a minimal amount of people and it doesnt show up somewhere shady. Ofc it wont be released to us im guessing he wants to maintain that business relationship.

This isn't meant to stir up any more trouble for you, I am just expressing what I believe others are also thinking. Since the individual was refunded, the model should be available for your use, given that it was already accessible to all Patreon subscribers. Since everyone had the chance to download and use it and the person was compensated, there seems to be little reason for its removal. As long as they were refunded, it’s fair for you to retain the right to use it as you see fit—otherwise, all your hard work would have been for nothing.

Majora’s Mask

I managed to download a copy of it before this happen but I can kinda see why others believe it should remain listed but the reality is that the one who commissioned it still has the rights if it's his design. All in all it is still a mistake that happened.

Kauzer

Honestly, that's no longer the case because that person has already obtained a refund, and for that reason he no longer have the rights to that figure.

Shadow29

Let's see Doger333, follow me and think a little. 1) the commission was made for a store that sells figures. In which it is expressly requested that the model has to be exclusive. (large companies make confidentiality contracts, not this case). 2) the stores are managed in 2 ways. either they make their stock or they buy it wholesale and that takes time (and lot of money). 3) the designer himself leaks the design. then the following happens. the store loses credibility since the people who bought their products with the advantage of being "exclusive" are no longer exclusive, depending on the case, customers and money can be lost if the figures were being mass produced. on the designer's side, how do you think their reputation is left with potential stores when they find out that the same designer leaks designs from stores without their consent? Would they make a commission if it implies that it could end up leaked by the same designer? mistakes happen? yes of course, but they also have consequences, and credibility is gained slowly and lost quickly. If after this you still think the same... you are not very bright.

Majora’s Mask

Doger333 mistakes happens but the decision to make is up to officer rhu to keep the listing or remove it.

Kauzer

Seriously, my comment bothered you so much that you were forced to post that nothing burger. You do you man.

Kauzer

My comment is for "Shadow 29". But yes, you're right, Majora's Mask, I agree with you there.

Majora’s Mask

Doger333 it's all good, it just sucks that not many people can get it, I'm lucky to get it for my collection.

Some random guy

If not a lot of people got it, it might just be okay. It takes a single person to spread it on the internet, but if let's say 5 or so people got it it's probably fine.

SneakingUpOnMe

No one asked, but I think you handled the situation correctly. Mistakes happen, best to make things as right as they can be and move forward.

JZYi

Although this is a mistake. I'm sorry I was a step late, to be honest, I decided to subscribe because I saw this model. By the way, if you refunded that gentleman, does it mean it can be made public?

Vagnard

Damn it was the middle of the night for me. I would have loved to have had it :(. Charizard is one of my favorites

Glee

Understandably, if I was the commisioner, I would be ticked. On the other hand, the commisioner can also flip it and realize that people make mistakes and use this realization to promote their own store. The files can become promotional materials, and include a file within saying that they do sell complete figures and if anyone wants it , here is the link to my store, and my lovely modeler OfficerRhu, to help pass the word and web links, maybe even a small discount to the printed item to be able to track how far the word of mouth has gone. Given that Officer Rhu has also refunded the commission, I can even see this as a free promotion on Officer Rhu's goodwill, because before this I was not even aware this model was a printed item available for sale in a store ( or the existence of the store).

Reedemption

Agreed. What IS the store? I just searched for it specifically and found nothing.

Lambsa

I believe it's an etsy store. That's the only place I've seen the Charizard model.
