Pearlie (Early Concepts) (Patreon)

Here's another set of early concept drafts of my characters! This time, it's all about my shark gal Pearlie Brite.

Pearlie's general concept as an attention-obsessed streamer has remained relatively consistent ever since I created her, with one caveat: her home was revamped to be more cyberpunk and hi-tech. With that, she gained flashy tron lines and other techy doo-dads across her body to reflect a futuristic setting.

Before any of those changes, her overall design was therefore a little more "generic" with messier spikes for her hairstyle. Her swimsuits were also all around more subdued. At the time, I wasn't really focusing too hard on making her design/silhouette stand out.

Pictured in these early sketches are some skimpier outfits for (prototype) Pearlie as well. Risky stuff! 😅
