because you guys dont seem to know (unless i misinterpretted your apparent uncertainty over the word?): obsidian is a real substance. it was used in ancient history to make knives and arrow heads and such i think. its created naturally (as in, people find it rather than manufacturing it like steel) from lava, hence why in this world they also call it "dragonglass".

Joe Brown

stannis DOES NOT have 100k men. renly did *with tyrell support*. the tyrells have the largest army in westeros. stannis does not have tyrell support. stannis far outnumbers the forces defending kings landing but does not have anywhere close to 100k.

you are getting harrenhal mixed up with storms end in the outro.

Pyromaniac!😂😂😂 Brienne! She's one of the most popular characters in the fandom. George gets a lot of praise because he writes such good female characters. Brienne is very insecure about her looks but she's determined to use her height and strength to fight. She's played wonderfully by Gwendoline Cristie. Gwendoline said she related to Brienne because before GOT she struggled to get acting jobs because she's so tall.

spoilers!! i know this stuff isnt super impactful for them to know early but its still a ton of information that brienne doesnt reveal to the audience until much later down the line, and it does totally spoil the impact of that conversation when she finally does speak about all this.

Theon has started the game at Winterfel and once the game begins you have to win...its hard to win when you don't know the rules.

Editing this episode for YouTube is going to be a real cunt.

You guys need to get the timing for your theories a little more straighten out... Not trying to be harsh because most of the time your theories are right on point or in other cases they make me laugh... But sometimes... For Mance Raider - an ex-crow, a deserter from the Night's Watch - to become King Beyond the Wall would have taken many, many years of convincing all those tribes, most of whom look at the crows as their mortal enemies... The dragonglass Sam and the others found was in a place called "The Fist of the First Men". That is where the Nights Watch has made camp. It is called that, because the mountain looks like a fist, and it is where the First Men made their last stand against the White Walkers THOUSANDS of years ago. Sam mentioned that a few episodes back. That dragonglass was left there - presumably - by the First Men!!! How/Why would Benjen play a role in any of this???... Brienne and Jaime will take at least 2 or 3 weeks to get from where they are to King's Landing, meanwhile, Tywin has already left Harrenhal with his whole army, and Arya and her friends have already escaped also, so whatever danger she will be in, is NOT because of Cat letting Jaime go and Tywin finding out who she really was... Daenerys' dragons are currently the size of cats. As Varys said, they will take "many years" to grow to full size and become a real danger for the Kingdoms in Westeros. Plus, she doesn't even have an army yet! It is easy to infer that that is a "game" that won't be played anytime soon...

Joe Brown

theres nothing to say definitively that the first men left it there thousands of years ago rather than someone like benjen more recently, who has also surely been through the area. you're being a bit harsh lol, remember that they are watching for the first time and its not so easy to have it all pieced together mentally while actively watching and taking in new information (it would be reasonable if they hadnt clocked the name of the area and its meaning, for example).

I genuinely look forward to getting to watch these with you guys every Friday! Can't wait for next week, see you there. 🙌💜

It is a blast going through GoT week to week again. When I first watched this show 13-14 years ago it was incredibly gripping going week to week with the gaps between seasons. I'm so glad that you two get to go right into the next season every time and I can't wait for each week's episode! I love how invested you are in the show and how you're really keeping track of all the different locations and characters. Cheers!

Brienne had met Renly before her appearance on this show because Tarth is an island in the Stormlands. Her family are bannermen to the Baratheons. She had a crush on him and always admired him from a distance. Her statement is just a reflection of that.
