Haha I made the good-looking comment, I didn't mean for it to allude to anything, just that a random crew guy would never be that handsome and looking his best like that.

Meredith Lombardi

Yes, you are correct with all of your correlations of the previous characters. Good memory!

So it does look like they have cast someone who is attractive in order to add him in to the story line to some degree. But, I will say that boom operators are typically young, physically fit guys. They have to hold that mic for hours a day, which does take some strength and is usually a somewhat entry-level position. So, it’s not a big stretch.

Bryan said to Meredith that they’re not supposed to talk to subjects only because he was so uncomfortable with her advances and didn’t know what else to say 😆. “Hey boom guy, when are you gonna boom me?”

Damo is right on all the callback characters. The "hobbit" one from Michael and Dwight's trip to New York to drop in on a coked up Ryan also had a small role in Threat Level Midnight. One character you missed was Sensei Ira. He was Dwight's sensei and the referee of the fight Dwight and Michael had. He was wearing a suit under his gi in this episode.
