I find it interesting bringing up the subject of "favorite duos" in Game of Thrones. I've often said that is one of the driving forces behind what makes the show great is the ability to take two seemingly unrelated characters and bring them together to create such chemistry on screen. To this point you could say Tyrion & Bronn, Jon & Sam, Varys & Littlefinger, Arya & Tywin, and Jaime & Brienne as some great duos on screen. There are more great duos yet to come including one later this season :)

The last time we saw Theon he was at Winterfell with Dagmar and a few other men entirely surrounded by 500 Bolton men sent by Robb Stark to take back WInterfell with specific instructions to let everyone go other than Theon. (Robb still thought he could prevent Bran and Rickon, et al. from being harmed.) His crew seems to have done a mutiny on him. How does he go from that to being back at the Iron Islands?

In reference to my comment from the last episode - technically, the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard is on the Small Council, so Barristan Selmy had a spot on the council, he just never went to the meetings. The things is, Jorah doesn't know that, so that explains his wariness - he wants to know the extent of Barristan's knowledge on the subject and what he's going to tell Daenerys.

Ok, I lied, one more comment - when the Brotherhood found Arya, Hotpie, and Gendry in the woods and at first you guys thought it might be Jaime and said, "Because he was singing, it seems like the kind of thing Jaime would do," they were actually singing 'The Rains of Castamere' which is the Lannister song (you heard at the end of season 2 episode 9), so it's *definitely* the kind of thing Jaime would do!

"Dark wings, dark words." is one of those sayings that gets repeated in the books. It's like an old folk saying because the ravens have dark wings and they never bring good news. Keep in mind that Jaime has been a prisoner for quite some time now. He hasn't held a sword in a while, hasn't been eating properly, hydrating properly, and his muscles have withered. In the book you not only get Jaime and Brienne's thoughts about each other but you get Jaime cursing the fact that being locked up (in Riverrun's dungeons in the books) has made him so weak. So, challenging Brienne was dumb but Jaime is so so arrogant. Charles Dance is so perfectly cast as Tywin that I'm convinced he wasn't acting, he was actually being possessed by the spirit of Tywin Lannister lol. Nick was spitting straight facts about House Lannister! Tywin is very much a "rule by fear" guy and he taught that to his children.
