I'm not sure if you guys recognize the musical cues yet, but the Stark theme always plays when important or emotional things are going on with the Starks and its my absolute favorite. In this episode you can hear it when Robb is talking to Edmure, when Arya is riding away and calls back to Hotpie that his bread is good, and when Catelyn is crying about Bran and Rickon, to name a few. -- Riverrun: We start off with Hoster Tully's funeral, and everyone always laughs at Edmure here, but I feel really sorry for him. I'm glad when my dad died, all I had to do at the funeral was just show up and not do an archery demonstration in front of a huge audience - it was hard enough to get through as it was!! Hoster's brother Brynden, know as the Blackfish, who is Catelyn, Lysa, and Edmure's uncle, grabs the bow from him and finally sets the funeral boat on fire. Robb meets with Edmure and Blackfish and is very displeased with Edmure about him not following Robb's instructions with regards to a battle that took place with the Mountain that allowed him to escape. Blackfish and Catelyn also have a discussion about Bran and Rickon and her despair that she may never see them again - he tells her to keep the faith that they may still be alive. Talisa also looks after some Lannister cousins that Edmure has taken prisoner and teases them that Robb turns into a wolf and eats his enemies during the full moon. -- King's Landing: Tywin uses a small council meeting as a psychological experiment by putting all the chairs on one side of the table, standing at the head of the table and waiting for everyone to arrive. Littlefinger, Varys, and Pycelle fall into line, pretty much as expected, while Cersei paves her own path by bringing her own chair to Tywin's other side, and Tyrion in his own hilarious way opposes his father by dragging his chair to the oppositte head of the table. I just love Tyrion so much. At the meeting we find out that Littlefinger is going to the Vale to marry Catelyn's siser Lysa Arryn, and Tyrion will take his place as the new Master of Coin in King's Landing. Tyrion picks up the royal ledgers from Littlefinger to prepare for his new position, and is very unhappy to discover that Littlefinger has been borrowing a large amount of money from the Iron Bank of Braavos to cover the crown's debts. He also tries to pay back his squire Podrick for saving his life by buying some prostitues for him, but it turns out "Pod the Rod" gets to enjoy their services for free ... -- North of the Wall: At the Fist of the First Men, Jon and Mance find the bodies of the horses arranged in a weird symbol by the White Walkers, but the bodies of the dead Night's Watch members are gone - all turned into wights. He tells Tormund and Jon to climb the Wall and attack Castle Black from the south when they see his signal. Lord Commander Mormont and the rest of the Night's Watch arrive back at Craster's Keep just before Gilly gives birth to her baby boy. -- Unknown location: Theon is set free by a mysterious young man who gives him a horse and a bearing to follow, but Theon gets a little turned around and lost. Before he can find where he's going, his captors catch up with him, but the young man comes to his rescue once more. -- Dragonstone: Melisandre is going on a mission that has something to do with a sacrifice, and not telling Stannis much about it, which is driving him crazy. -- Astapor: The "Walk of Punishment" is an area of Astapor where slaves are put on display for whatever slight they have commited, no matter how small - whether its trying to escape, or steal food, or probably nothing at all. Barristan and Jorah both give Daenerys some conflicting advice. She then goes to purchase all of the Unsullied and the translator, Missandei, agreeing to trade her largest dragon for the army. She tells Jorah and Barristan never to contradict her in public again. We also learn the meaning of "Valar Morghulis" - 'All men must die.' -- Riverlands: Gendry is fixing armor for the Brotherhood, Hotpie gets a job at the inn baking bread, and Arya keeps travelling with the Brotherhood as their "guest" for her own protection, although she sees it more like being a prisoner. Jaime and Brienne have been captured by the northmen, and he tries to warn her about what's going to happen to her that night when they make camp. That night, they do exactly as Jaime predicted but he manages to talk to Locke and convince him that Brienne's father will pay her weight in sapphires if she's returned unharmed - it works. He also tries to talk his way out of his own chains, but Locke doesn't fall for this part although he acts like he does. He plays along with Jaime until he suddenly turns on him and chops his hand off. The song that plays during the end credits is "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" which the Bolton bannermen were singing earlier in the episode while transporting Brienne and Jaime.

Just a reminder there is at least one bastard son of Robert still alive.... and Stanis does have a daughter who has been mention but I don't believe seen yet.

edmure tully (robb's uncle, cat's brother, the new lord of riverrun) did not drive the mountain out of harrenhal like you seem to think. the mountain left harrenhal and then garrisoned at a mill as edmure says, then edmure attacked him and drove him back whereas robb had wanted to draw the mountain further into the lands they occupied to trap him and kill him. edmure is one of two important people you are introduced to this episode, the other being cat's uncle, hoster's younger brother, brynden tully, known as the blackfish. its worth noting that while robb is referred to as "king in the north", he is actually king of the north and the riverlands as hoster pledged to robb, as you see brynden remind edmure that he was speaking to his king as well as his nephew. the war is currently primarily the north + the riverlands vs the westerlands + the reach (though im not sure any reach soldiers have got involved in the fighting in the riverlands, they just came to blackwater and the two factions are currently in the process of tying the knot on their alliance with marriage). then theres also stannis on dragonstone with some stormlands bannermen and the iron born have declared independence but most people are ignoring them currently. i agree that robb's mistake in letting theon go was bigger than cat's mistake in sending jaime to KL, but robb had the authority to make that decision whereas cat committed treason. "master of coin" is a government position. littlefingers' brothels are his private property.

i wasnt gonna say anything but yeah now you've said it, i found it amusing how much they caught on and talked about the prospect of renly or robert having children and kept questioning if joffrey could be valid and somehow neither had a single thought about the son of robert they know well lol

Perfectly good map for at least some reference can be found here. It's adjustable for spoilers: https://quartermaester.info/

LOVE, love the idea of a cloth map for your table!!! Can't wait! 😃 Did you guys know that the actor who plays Hot Pie opened a bakery in London called "You Know Nothing John Dough" where they sold direwolf shaped bread loaves and biscuits? LOL

I was SO looking forward to this one just for that reaction at the end there. I was not disappointed. XD

Don't get hung up on the Podrick thing. It's a show only thing and it goes nowhere. I think D&D meant it to be funny but it just confuses people and I don't want you guys brooding on it. It's silly because Littlefinger is the owner of the brothel so Pod would pay him not the girls themselves. They don't have the power to deny payment. Dumb joke.
